+1 for the price but is it just me or is the bag hideous?

    • Not too sure. Guess another price error.

      • most likely if they over sell shit and they be like oh shit pricing error and relist it @ +50% of that price

    • It's real snake skin, will match my boots, kinda Johnny Depp style?

    • Agree it's ug.

    • Great. You may resale it from ebay.

    • +2

Hope you purchased via Qantas for some extra qantas points… 5 points per dollar… not a bad buy!

      • Wait you get Qantas points for shopping at DJs? Since when?

        • +1

Yes, log into your Qantas account and then click on David Jones… 5 Points per dollar currently… Nice little point earner.

Keep in mind you have to order online!

        • @Mr Jeep: But then you miss out on cash back.

        • @sween64:

Can't you have the cashback and Qantas website opened at the same time?

        • @nightelves: I don't think the cookies would both track properly.

        • +2

@nightelves: DJs would only let one website claim the referral - you can't be referred by more than one place because DJs would then have to give a kickback to both.

    • can i get 1 please tuzii???

  • Sold out.

    • Someone bought 10 of them. Guess others could buy 10 as well.

  • Sorry, an error has occurred while trying to retrieve the inventory status of this product.

Coach is the American Oroton - expensive RRP but costs crap all to get especially in the States. I bought about 4 bags from their outlets in America that with an average of 80% discount from their RRP. This price is not unusual to see at their outlets but not very common outside of the States esp with the "Aussie Tax" on everything.

    • +2

I've always wanted one, but this sure explain why every girl has one.

      • +2

Can't be as common as the hideously overdone Louie Vatong bags every girl walks around with these days

        • +7

          Louie Vatong. Montorola.

You aren't too good at recalling brand names, are you?

        • @arcticmonkey:
          Who is Loewe Poontang?

        • +3

My wife would be very upset if I buy her a Louie Vatong.
          Shanelle or Versays only.

        • +5

          @causeimbatman:

Mate, they're called Versarchee. Your wife would be upset if you got a Versays.

      • Save up a trip to the States during the mad shopping seasons (before their big holidays such as Thanksgiving, July 4th etc) - The outlets in SF/LA/Vegas are awesome. If not, I've been told the Hawaii ones arent too bad but not as high in discount.

Worth it just to stock up on any American brands (Coach, Kate Spade, Tumi, Michael Korrs, CK, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Adidas, GAP etc) which you'll get 40-80% off at the right timing (eg. Half price + 40% off on top etc). Euro brands (LV, Gucci, Prada et all) aren't fantastic (go to Europe for those).

        • Euro brands cost more in Europe coz of VAT, unless you claim it back, you’re generally better off buying here

        • @tuzii: Err.. why wouldnt you claim back the tax as a Tourist? Talking luxury goods here with high price tags so the 15 min detour at the airport makes sense for the % tax you paid. Even without the tax claim, still works out to be cheaper than here with the "Aussie tax" that is thrown on almost everything that comes into the country (not to mention our own GST).

    • Yes, I've noticed that too. Also Coach in Australia is grossly overpriced compare to the US rrp.
Having said that, my partner just bought a coach with the Amex offer few days ago. I think the quality you get at that price point is pretty poor. Her bag looks like it'll only last for max 2yrs.

    • +2

Those bags u brought from the outlet were made especially for the outlet, u won't find them in their retail store. Their quality poorer than their usual bags. The wife brought a few at the premium outlet.

      • +1

From my understanding, the Outlets are basically out of season stock. They usually retail a model/style for about 6 months before it is made available to the Outlet to sell at a discounted price. I'm not a big fashion person but thats what most who are tell me.

        • +5

There are out of season being sent to the outlet also but their are bags there that is specifically made for the outlet store also and you won't find them on their website or their retails stores. We tried comparing the prices that's how we found out and was confirmed on fashion forums. And you will find that it's the same with the premium brands outlets in Europe too eg Parada , Gucci etc

      • Yeah I heard about that too.

    • +3

I've read more than a few articles that claim outlet stores sell inferior quality products, and that almost 80% of a brand's production is actually made for outlet sales. Not sure on the accuracy of the numbers, but I find it plausible that this might be the general practice.

    • With this price, it's still cheaper than what you can get in the US including outlet considering the exchange rate and travel cost

      • That's only because you are purchasing one bag that is limited to this one selection. How can you compare it with being overseas in an outlet with thousands of products that are reduced?

  • +3

90% price error then get refund. It's DJ's most common ways.

  • +7

I was keen until I saw it was real snake :(

    • +1

What if it was real cow?

  • Does Australia allow real animal skin products import?

    • +4

      Do you wear leather shoes?

      • You honestly think that answered the question?

        • +1

Depends if you know where leather comes from.

        • yes

  • Sorry, the products you have selected cannot be wrapped. Please revise your selection.

    • +2

That's because they come from Coach themselves, not the DJs warehouse.

  • Missed out

  • +3

Missed out. Always wanted one to wave at the PETA people.

    • You can borrow my chinchilla stole, if you don't mind the red paint splatters.

  • I have Coach bags from the early nineties and they're nothing like the current made-in-China Coach bags in terms of quality and design. I'd rather buy second-hand vintage Coach bags.

    • I want to see LV made in China. Will they still sell it for thousand $$$?

      • All these over priced bags are all made in China and they over charge an absurd price, iPhone is an exception but these …

        • iPhone is simply following the trend of designer brand. Android is not. Note: I own an iPhone.

      • It's pretty common for luxury brands to make almost-finished products in China, then ship them to Europe where they add on some buttons, a sole, a handle, and stamp them Made in Italy. A lot of that handmade Italian craftsmanship is also done by Chinese migrant workers in Italy.

  • Let's know if anyone scores one.

  • Highly doubt it, proof or it didn't happen.
