this screen looks not bad for $300, might be worth looking into reviews

  I'm thinking of holding out for the 1440p model.

  Edit: This is the SE version. Unfortunately not the same as the P2717H (which has DP & usb).

  what's the deal? most of the other big brands are 25% cheaper and 2 years more warranty.

    Yep, this is the cut down shite edition, cheap stand. Weird to see a retail Dell unit with less than 3 year warranty.

  Not a terrible deal but there are a lot of alternatives to consider.

  For budget gamers try MSY 1ms 27" monitor for $199 (TN panel)

  or Freesync monitor 27" for $239 (TN panel)

  and if you want IPS they start at $299 (IPS panel)

  Viewsonic 27 1ms response freesync monitor for $249 (TN panel)

  For anything else higher I recommend waiting for an eBay deal or grabbing ultrasharp from Dell Outlet — JB Hifi only sells the crappy entry level Dells. The U2715H for example is good value pick and you get QHD resolution for around $400 dollar spend.

      monitors are something you use for many years (I've been using the same 24" FHD BenQ LCD for 5 years now) you should spend a bit more and get the features you want, rather than cheaping out and buying a normal office monitor.

  For $299 at MSY there is Viewsonic VA2719-26-Smhd, 27" IPS WQHD 2560 x 1440, HDMI and DP and Slim bezel. I'm waiting for it to go on sale so I can upgrade my secondary monitor. Main is 1440p and secondary is 1080p atm is getting annoying with 2 diff res lol

    Its a deal if the identical model cannot be sourced else where for a lower price.
    Not a neg if comparing to another 'option'.

  Saw this monitor in store today. Doesn't seem to have VESA mount option and the bezels are quite thick. Nothing too special about this monitor.
