$5 Half Rooster Roll Meal - 1/2 Rooster Roll, Small Chips, 250ml Coke

Spotted this today at my local Red Rooster. Looks to be good value for a cheap lunch/snack.

Mod note: this $5 1/2 Rooster Roll Meal was merged in error and as such the earlier comments got removed.

$25 Mates Share Pack - 2x Rooster Rolls + 2x Rippa Rolls + Family Chips - In-store

Took advantage of this deal today. Huge savings over regular menu price (normally around $10 for 1 Rooster Roll on its own). Good deal in my books.

Good for those of you who think the previous deal is a snack.

Thanks. This is more like a snack than a lunch.

Dont get much for $5 anymore

I got two McFeast meals for $7.50 yesterday.

Its 2550kj or 637kcal. Three a day would be 1911kcal or spot on my TDEE, as average height male, so too much for a female.

      Its a lunch.

Can you swap the 2 rooster rolls for 2 more rippa rolls ?

    • Yes, just ask them for 2 Rippa Roosters.

  • +1

Lol read this as $25 Rolls Royce. Lol
    :/

    • +2

      nope not seeing that lol

    • +2

I read it as Rooster Balls.

    • If you close your eyes, you can enjoy the rolls Royce for free. I tell my children this advice when they complain about the food.

Wow, a half a roll. Lame and incomplete.

  • family deal sounds good, thanks again OP

  • $5 deal is the same as the old Red Rooster 'Half time".
Was my go to meal as a kid.
They took it away years ago

Rooster rolls use yeterday's left-over/unsold chicken.

    • Also leftover stuffing.

      • +1

Yep, forgot to mention that. Left-over stuffing mixed with mayo.

        • +1

Then stored in a coolroom and microwaved to order.

        • @Scab: Yeah. And the dudes at the back who tear off the chicken pieces, eat the best parts while they're working

        • @idonotknowwhy:

None of that bothers me. It's the crappy tasting rolls themselves that I hate. I only ever eat bread that's relatively fresh, and the Red Rooster rolls taste like they've been sitting there for a year.

        • @jimbler:

That's down to the useless managers who can't order stock properly.

  • Value for money doesnt exist at Red Rooster since 10yrs ago. I went there for the first time in ages and got a couple decent rolls/burgers and left $25 poorer….. might as well dine in at a chinese restaurant

    • That's pretty much the same at other fast foods like Maccas and KFC, only some of their promos are value for money.

  • whats the normal price for a Rippa Roll?

    • Think it's pretty close to $10

      • +1

oh thats expensive for full price - you could almost get a subway foot long sub instead

  • The mates share pack is too much for only 2 people!

  • The share box is available for online delivery for $33, still a fairly good deal but probably worth the 5 min drive
