  • What, no Helium?

  • These are pretty loud. I think they might be louder than my old Samsung F3's, Seagate Barracuda 7200.12's and WD Blacks.

    Very fast though.

  • Strange ?
I found the exact opposite - my 5tb version is very quiet but slow
    Read 200MBs Write 100MBs

  • seagate ironwolfs $351 on ebay after %20 off.

  • I have the 6TB in my PLEX standalone
Its Fast, especially when compared to the Seagate 4TB HE drive its with.
It is not very loud, But I wouldn't have one in my bedroom, I would go ironwolfs.
I need 2 more 8's for my new NAS but I will wait for the WD 8's to hit $179US again I want all the same drive

    • That's odd.. maybe I have a dud unit or perhaps my CM Storm Enforcer case just has bad acoustics.
