    Nvm, working now

  • There is also a $114 Core i3 Ivy Bridge Lenovo for people who want something even cheaper or just need it for basic HTPC duties.

    • Do you know if this would have a PCI express slot for something like a GT710 (just want HDMI audio/video output from single cable).

        • That's a Lenovo.

People in this thread confirming it has a PCI-E 16x slot capable of giving 50w to the card.

So a SFF GT710 should be fine, same with a SFF 1030.

        • @c0balt:

Oh, didn't know if Tech and Cars wanted the question to Lenovo or Dell. but both desktops can do graphics cards upgrades.

        • @scrimshaw:

My mistake, buddy. I didn't follow the comment chain :)

If the Lenovo can power more than 50w then I would take that with the i3 with the opportunity to put in a 1050ti, over this Dell with an i5 3570 but stuck at 50w GPU max.

        • @c0balt: I got the optiplex 9020 will that be able to house a lot profile gtx 1050ti OC ?

    • How do you get this one for $114?

Edit: done some searching, imply you are referring to Party18 at 6pm?

      • yes, 6PM it will begin,

    • You can also get a Dell 790 core i5 2400 for the same price which I personally think should perfrom much better than the i3

  • code did not work at checkout. I'm sure what's wrong.

    • +1

It's not active yet. Give it 20 more mins.

      • Ah, ok. Thanks :)

  • Just to note - there's a couple of 9010 body variants; one with a 5.25" DVD drive and four PCIe bays, and another with a laptop-size DVD drive and two bays. The front panel USB ports are also aligned differently.

I wanted the smaller model (still fitted my SFF GTX 1050 without an issue) but that means any other expansion is going to be USB. If you need (marginally) more internal space, then the model pictured above is what you're looking for, but otherwise the specs range look to overlap otherwise and the case won't be of consequence.

    • I believe the other SFF variant is the same size, yours should have 2 rows of ports on the front, rather than 1.

  • anyone know how much postage would be to WA? emailed them but they must have left already, don't want to miss out on sale.

    • Free.

  • anyone have any suggestion for i7 machine with 16GB.
Can't find anything good as last deal

  • Bought this and found the following…
Burn in test 8 hours… no issue prime95 mixed
found out the memory is 4 x 2GB and a mix of 1333 and 1600… will check with them
    PassMark Rating 2400+

    So far so good

    • Last night I cleaned off the old thermal paste and put in a thinner layer of Noctua NT-H1. Temperatures on low were slightly better, under load I got a few degrees cooler.

      • when I ran the prime95… its about 65-70deg… on idle I think its about 25-30

        • mine are also in that ballpark range, but when i took off the cooler i found that the amount of paste they put was ridiculous. It was 1-2mm thick
