  • im sure some good 2nd hand dvd/blueray can attract more than $5 on ebay..

    • Not to mention you have to pay to post them in to get your $5.

Apparently not. From the term and conditions:

For the first 200,000 New Disc Purchases successfully registered, claimants will receive a congratulatory message containing a Reply Paid mailing address.

Reply Paid = FREE postage for your dud DVD.

Hehe - I'm sure I've got some crud DVD's here that aren't worth 50c, let alone 5 bucks so I'll give this a positive based on that. Plus the website is moderately entertaining with JCVD doing high kicks. They key to this deal is to get a good price on the new DVD/Blu Ray.

I'm sure people have purchased some crappy dvd they want offload and can't sell.

  • Wow…I wonder who has claimed the first 3…

  • What a woeful deal :-(

    • Negatives are meant as flags to identify specific problems with the deal that would affect all people who would be interested in the deal.

You have not provided specific enough information to demonstrate a problem for others.

      Negative revoked.

  • What if you find DVDs that cost yo two bucks? $3 profit?

    • -1
      • postage to send it in.
  • Why is it called an amnesty?

Anyway, if there are two discs that you're intending to buy, and you have two old or duplicate low-value discs that you don't need, then you may as well get $10 from Sony. (It says a maximum of two discs per address.)

Although, perhaps your privacy is worth more than that.

It does say that you need to copy your receipt for verification, and that you need to send them the original. (Potentially causing hiccoughs if you need the original.)

  • dammit I throw out all my shirty dvds.

  • I wonder if this would cover all those bali DVD's I got??? lol
