ANZ Rewards Black Card 75,000 Points and $0 Annual Fee

240

Very similar to this deal which has expired.

Sign up for a new ANZ Rewards Black card and get 75k bonus ANZ Rewards Points when you spend $2500 in the first 3 months.

(I know what you're asking -
What can I get with ANZ rewards points? - in the end remember that this can be done to be 100% free)

Minimum limit $15,000

18.79% p.a. Interest rate on purchases

20.99% p.a. Interest rate on cash advances and standard balance transfers

Up to 55 days interest free on purchases

$375 total annual fee, waived for the first year

Not sure how long this promo is running for. From past users' experiences I'm pretty sure there's no problem with getting and using the points then cancelling the card before the 2nd year starts.

  • how much is 75k reward points worth? What is best value redemption?

    • +2

Updated post with a link to this page. Should help.

    • You can convert $500 gift cards with 111,115 points. So 75,000 would be around $337.

However, I read it's best to convert the points to frequent flyer points and then use them for upgrades.

      • is it 1:1 from reward points to FF points?

        • Nope. Not sure it can actually be transferred for Qantas FF points… here's the ANZ page with transfer rates.

Title is misleading. It's only $0 annual fee for the first year

Excessively long titles are annoying. 10secs reading the description and everyone figures it out.

Failing that, you've got 11 months 29 days to work it out before becomes an issue ;-)

        flawed reasoning

        • Perfectly fine reasoning, lazy s**ts who cant be bothered opening the deal

      • Agree

No true ozbargainer is keeping a credit card for more than a year. Pffft.

  • Can you convert the points to velocity?

    • +1

Yep. 2:1 conversion rate from the looks of things

  • the 75k frequent flyer promotion is also still active

  • Not eligible for this if you hold any other ANZ CC, right?

    • You should be eligible. I got the bonus points during the previous promotion, though I had a different type of ANZ credit card already.

This is different to the FF card, which means if you had the FF card within last 12 months, you can still apply for this and get the ANZ reward points
Not as good of a deal compared to the FF (so I believe anyway), but at this stage, a $0 card to churn and get points - this is the best value one going

Awsome so can anyone confirm if you have the anz black CC which gives u 80k Q FF points you can still receive this offer ?

      • yes I would like to know too. I already have the FF Black card atm.

I personally haven't as I have been going through other cards, but other family members have done it and no problems

  • Hi,

Does paying rent via DEFT considered a Cash Advance, can that be used to fulfill $2500 spend criteria.

    • Got below reply from DEFT representative:

A payment from your credit card (Visa and MasterCard) via our website www.deft.com.au will attract a 1.5% surcharge. This payment will be treated as a Purchase.

If your real estate accept BPay payments, a payment via BPay from your card will likely be treated as a cash advance.

      The AMEX surcharge is 3.3%.

I just find it's hard to get an approval with ANZ.

I never had any luck getting a black card or equivalent card with ANZ whereas I never had issue with other banks.

    • Just applied then and got approved immediately
