Sony Bravia KD-65X7000E $1694.4 Pickup or $40 Delivery (Sydney Only) from Bing Lee eBay

PBING20

Got an email saying that a TV i was looking at had dropped $380… so came to $2118.
Together with the 20% off ebay deal brought it down to $1694.40.
Can't seem to find it on the Ebay binglee listing anymore but link worked for me in incognito mode so should not be an email deal only.

Seems like a pretty good deal for a 65" TV as came down below the Samsung 65" MU7000 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/332118)

  • How is this inferior from the KD65X8500E? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/332528

      Only 50Hz. No Amazon TV.

      • I think I'm happy to have spent $341.60 less as rarely get to utilise half the extra features.

I just checked TGG and they probably dropped the price as TGG has it advertised at $2119

Just after quick glance at spec sheets:

      No bluetooth
No 'picture processor' (4K HDR processor) - I guess this is for the HD > 4k upscaling / filtering / noise reduction etc.
      Native 50Hz (vs 100Hz on the 8500e)
      No Android OS

  • The $40 shipping is somewhat misleading
they will only deliver to Sydney

    • ar my bad… I'll change it in title.
Does it not ship to anywhere else at all? that sucks!

    • Don't know where you got that from, I picked up the KD65X8500E yesterday from Bing Lee with delivery to Melbourne for $40. JB selling same model for $2546 in their current 15% off Sony sale and they want $59 for delivery from just up the road.

      • I might be wrong, but it just says on the ebay listing a lot of exclusions for postage
"Adelaide Metro, Brisbane Metro, Northern Territory, NSW Regional, Perth Metro, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, QLD South East, SA Regional, Tasmania, VIC Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box"

So it looks like it is anywhere in NSW, and Melb (not regional Vic)

  • Sony 65' with 4k for this price sounds like a steal.

  • Planning to buy a tv in 2 months time, any point in waiting?

    • Just realized no postage to Perth :(

    • Same here. Waiting for Amazon to open in Aus, apparently only weeks away.

    • They only get cheaper. If you don't need it right now - wait.

      • Unfortunately the price changes are not linear in time, thus difficult to predict. And one can not wait for years to buy a new TV.

    • Be careful buying Sony TVs. I bought a brand new 65" Sony Bravia TV, had issues with the screen. Under warranty, Sony replaced the screen with another but the replacement has another set of issues (probably being a refurbished or rejected part), now trying to shirk responsibilty. And their only 1 year warranty in is contravention of Australia Consumer Law. Know your rights.

      • Why would "only 1 year warranty" for a product contravene the Australia Consumer Law?

        • Australian Consumer Law says warranty coverage should be a reasonable period, for a large item like TV, I think 3 yrs is pretty much reasonable.

Anyway, it's debatable, but Sony disclaimed 1 yr warranty is ridiculous, just ignore it.
