Rottnest Express Ferry $99 for 10 Return Trips (Normally $610) + WA Kids Free. (Island Admission Fees Payable)

580

Another crazy Rottnest ferry deal and the new operator hasn't even started yet!

10 return trips in 12 months for $99 plus admission fee.

It's non-transferable and you need then then pay $18 for day trips and $22.50 for extended stay which is the island admission fee. There are a couple of hoops to get the deal so have a read of https://www.rottnestexpress.com.au/redriderfaq

For the free kids tickets they need to register at http://www.quokkaclub.com.au/

How did they manage to make their Quokka mascot so un-cute? It looks like Peter Dutton.

How dare you insult Quokka's with such a heinous comparison!!!!

I'm just saying you might want to make sure all your papers are in order before you get on that boat.

I don't get it, 2 pictures of Peter Dutton..? So what?

        • Nah, I'll be flying.

This would be way better if you could share it; 5 trips for two people for example.

    • There's an idea for the competition!

    • +1

Yes. I thought it might have been 10 return tickets that 10 people could use and pay the equivalent of $9.90 each. Not sure how many people would even want to go to Rotto 10 times in a year. Workers get free tickets, so it is of very limited value.

  • Took the plane from Jandakot last time we went. In winter , tickets were cheaper than the boat. Takes about 10mins , great view and no sea sickness for me on the way home.

How ironic what a little competition can do. Good to see this happening after all these years. I for one will be giving the new operator a chance before going with these hungry clowns again.

Only available for WA residents, so they are still screwing over the tourists.

Also, makes more sense for the average person wanting to visit the island a couple of times. Maybe if they did it as a family pass, so you could share it amongst your direct family.

I don't know who the new provider is, but I hope these guys get smashed for gouging on their monopoly for so long!

I'm completely fine with screwing over the tourists. They do it to us in their country so it's only fair they get a taste of their own medicine.

      • Thanks Mr Trump for your kind words..

This is the new operator, I hope they give the current operator a run for their money. The fares when I visited were ridiculous for such a short trip

That is cheap, but the non-transferable aspect kills the deal for me.

Also the Island admission fee is a joke.

Rottnest is not worth paying just to set foot on.

    • Rottnest is not worth paying just to set foot on.

Disagree; and significantly moreso than the entry price for just entering the Royal Show!

Well, having to pay 15$ a beer after paying all the fees should be a human rights violation.

  • May I ask should it be same person?
So it is 20 trip (10 return for $99)?
    How much for admin fee?

So it we need to come back same day it would be addtional $18 and $22.5 for overnight without admission fee?

    • A Rottnest Express Red Rider Annual Pass is such a great value deal, that it’s only valid for use by the named member only and therefore not transferable.

      😡

  • Are these promoters dumb or what? Who on earth would go to Rotto 10 times in a year if you live in WA.

    • You only need to go twice ($61 per return adult ticket), for this to be better value than buying individual tickets…

They want to create the illusion of a discount without really giving one.

      • … plus create a lot of discussion & awareness of their new company

  • new ferry service coming on board. trying to lock you in and lock out the competition.

  • Thanks OP.
Wondering if anyone has been contacted yet with details of how to finalise the annual pass?
    I haven't received a confirmation yet.
