        I dont use the TOMTOM app (my car has a built in one) - i was more interested in blue tooth capability, charging cradle and the low level Audio output….. Is the Metro view that good?

      You don't have to buy TomTom app for this, you can buy any GPS navigation app, Metroview should work as well.

      Car kit has internal GPS chip which is better than the one in the iPhone (not sure about iPhone 4 though), it has better speaker than iPhone and it also charges your phone.

      I've paid $145 when they first came out, still use it, works perfect. You can use it as hands free in car, but only problem is you have to touch Answer button on the phone which is probably illegal to do, but I don't care.

        it's not illegal in Victoria to touch the phone as long as it is in a proper holder…
        you can even SMS (as long as it's in the holder)

        NOTE L and 1st year P platers cannot use handsfree phones in Victoria, even if they are using the smartphone only for GPS

      Bargains are subjective - What one person considers a bargain (ie $5 off an itunes card) isn't considered a bargain by others.

      These are $159 everywhere else.

        by looking at the lack of + votes there is nothing subjective here. everyone thinks this is not a bargain, including me.

        You're comparing brand new ones with 12 months warranty to your refurbished ones with only 3 months warranty. $99 is definitely not a bargain, if you said $59 hmmmm maybe.

      These are a windscreen mount only. Its not like you can pull it apart either as the speaker forms part of the mount etc. - Sorry :(
