Damn, I forgot to close my account from the last $100 gift card deal. Rookie error.

If you've done the last years' one you won't be eligible anyways since you wouldn't have been able to close it prior to 6/10 last year.

Yeh, but now I won't be eligible for next years one too.

  • got the same offer just April this year. doh i want free $100 again!

ANZ Access Advantage has account keeping fees "No monthly account service fee (normally $5 a month) if you deposit at least $2,000 a month, are under 25 or if you meet our other eligibility criteria"

So, if you don't transfer $2K each month, you will pay $30 in fees over 6 months period, which means that your earning will be just $70 over 6 months.
      Not worth all the troubles.

      • Are you serious? It's $70 and here's Ozbargain!!!

      • You can transfer money in and out to avoid the fee.

        And yea, what citygal said!

  • Good promo except I'm ineligible….damn

  • T&Cs clear about when vouchers are paid by, and who is a new customer.
    I like it.

  • ANZ have really Ozbargainified themselves on this deal.

    • Yeah, in the past they just sent the $100 gift card outright after you open the account. Probably too many people closed the account after they got the gift card so they changed the rules now and require constant saving with them to get the full $100

  • What is the minimum age to open an account and be eligible for the offer?

Once again— suck lemons, loyal customers.

I think I'll nearly empty my accounts next decent interest bonus deal elsewhere— just leave it there until the next one. Is this what people are supposed to do now to glean anything back?

Honestly- all I've gotten from ANZ, with a decent chunk of change (I think) in their bank, is squat interest & being ineligible for their deals.

    :P

  • Plus you get Apple Pay with ANZ. The only big bank to offer it. Can’t go wrong tbh.
