It's slobber-free! If you pull back the launcher to 1 (it's numbered 1-9 for distance) you can put the gun over the ball and the fins will "grab" the ball.

Glad I didn't pay full price for this product, great idea but lasted 24hrs after pick up from post office . Dogs loved this so did owner but broken spring already so no longer able to use .and…

My dog still wouldn't do what I told him, even if I shot both tennis balls at him.
