  I've got this and its quite bad. your keyboard needs to be next to the receiver in order for it to work. The mouse works up to about 1m.
  So go for a logitech one which operates on a different frequency.

  Good price. However, the mouse is not very good.
  Got it a year ago, and use the keyboard only.

  If you can find it, go the logitech one. I bought two of them and two of these microsoft ones a while ago for a recording studio. The problem I had with the microsoft ones, is that if you leave the mouse alone too long, it times out and you have to resync it each time. Not hard to do, just annoying

    Logitech MK250 is $31 at MSY. Heard a fair few bad reviews about that mouse too.
