  • The link doesn't show any prices. Also it says "Up" to 15% off. Can anyone confrim the pricing?

Maybe the OP could confirm the details of the pricing, update the title (location, store etc).

It is a useless post as it is. Too many variable and questions.

  • Someone would have to go to the store and check it out, I don't even think they updated their online page: https://www.pcdiy.com.au/index.php?cPath=152_235&osCsid=e696…

  • I have been informed by msy staff the 6900 series is available starting Monday. I saw the 6800 series on the shell today.

    • any word on pricing?

Are u sure, first day of Nov?

      Also "up to" … doesn't 100% mean 15% 5770.

    • 6900? hasnt even been announced yet? normally takes a week at least for AU after announcement?
maybe you mean 6870 in addition to 6850?

"UP TO". Great. Sounds as good as those "up to 90% off sales".

  • The 6800 series are meant to compete with the gtx460 which means it runs slower than the 5870. Some improvements they made to the 6800 series is to do with the tessalations not 100% sure what tweaks they made but the engine is also improved. 6870 also has less capacitors, clock speeds and use less watts compared to the 5870. It was designed to be cheaper and therefore will give less fps than a 5870.

    • And it looks like they weren't made for OCing either but people who run it at stock shouldn't care.

6970 will replace the 5870 - they have changed their numbering system….

  • REPLACEMENT, replacement does not mean equal to

    5750 - 6850
    5770 - 8870
    5850 - 6950
    5970 - 6970

    • "5770 - 8870"

might wanna fix that one up. you are 2 generations ahead of yourself ;)

      • Well he can't anymore and I'm sure we all know what he meant.

Also has anyone checked the place out? Or are the prices on the online pricelist final?

  • Anyone bought 5770 from them today, just wondering how much?
