  • So this sim card does not expire?

    • Hi there

the sim card does expire after 3 month if no recharge has been made on the SIM card.

      Best Wishes Sarah

  • @So Easy Travel so does "4G LTE Network" mean 4G LTE speeds?

    • It's the 2degrees network.

    • Yes that's correct !

      • Answer the question. Are you going to shape it or allow full speed 4g?

        • the SIM card has full 4G speeds using the 2 degrees, spark and vodafone networks in NZ.

The SIM will work in all locations with 4G speeds, except with a few very isolated areas where there is no coverage.

        • Glad to hear. Thank you

I bought 2 of these SIM cards for our recent fortnight in NZ. They were perfect for our needs - just insert the SIM, dial the number and you're in business. You can genuinely be on the network before your plane has stopped rolling. Just remember to take some form of ejection tool to get your SIM card tray out. Highly recommended.

    • Thats fantastic news klaw81!

  • Op, would this sim also work in Fiji, New Caledonia and other South Pacific islands? I'm going on a cruise in December Auckland back to Auckland.

    • Hi Bellyup

      Unfortuantely

the SIM cards do not work in those destinations, only New Zealand.

When does the sim expiry if you dont activate it.

Ie is it 1 year from purchase date?? So i got one now i have to activate it before 09 October 2018?

    • Hi There

The SIM cards do not have a shelf life, so you can keep them on you until you travel to NZ!

      Hope that answers your question.

    It's a shame 2-Degrees is such a terrible network.
If you only plan to use this in major cities, you should be fine with the 4G coverage… but otherwise the coverage is woeful and limited to 3G.

Having said that, it should work in most places… but hey you should be enjoying NZ, not YouTube.

    • Not sure when the last time you used a 2degrees sim was but their coverage is the same as Spark and Vodafone in all but the most remote places now. They installed hundreds of LTE sites in 2016 and throughout the early part of this year.

      • Good to know. I last used it in about 2014, and since went for Spark in my more recent trips.
Before commenting, I checked the coverage at my usual destination and noticed it still has 3G. So I might stick with Spark.

But it's great to hear that they are investing in their network.

  • OP - How much for extra data and how do you purchase?

      Hi Danielslater811

May we please have your order number?

We ship using priority tracking and most of our customers get their SIM cards in time.

We recommend purchasing your SIM card with the free shipping option 5 days before you depart so you can receive it on time.

Once, we receive your order number, we will follow up with Australia Post and provide a refund for you.

      Best Wishes
