Xiaomi Dafang 1080P Smart Wi-Fi IP Camera US $18.99 (AU $25) Delivered (Priority) @ GearBest

DAFANG

Looks like a good price on the new XIaomi Mijia Dafang cameras released last month I believe.

Home security IP camera with 1080p video resolution, with 120 degree field of view, equipped with pan and tilt movement functions. It also has night vision, Infrared-based motion detection, two-way audio and Micro SD recording.

From past deals it appears these are similar to Xiaofang cameras but also add pan and tilt features. Connects with Mi Home app.

Pay in AUD (~$25) on GearBest as their rate is lower than the current USD > AUD rate. Must be logged in to apply code, pay by PayPal.

Ensure that you use Australia Priority Mail shipping method to get the best/quickest shipping method available at this price, thanks to Bamzero. See photo here.

  • Hi all, probably a dumb question but here goes:

I'm less interested in real time monitoring than being able to review footage and grab some screenshots - can anyone who's got one tell me if this is doable? My partner has had a recurring peeping tom at her bottom floor apartment bedroom window and we'd like to get a nice clean shot of his face whenever he does show up.

And I'm assuming it can also be plugged in to a USB wall charger? The idea is to basically just sit it on the inside windowsill and have it on and plugged in every night. I was also looking at dash cams that we might be able to mount on the inside of the window but this seems much cheaper than any half decent dash cam.

    Thanks folks!

edit - found my answer re recordings and screengrabs on the product site. Can anyone tell me roughly how long shipping took them from china to aus (melb here)?

    • +1

From the 16th to the 27th Australia registered post.

      Your mileage may vary.

And yeah no worries reviewing the footage. Just be aware the camera would probably be enough to scare off the peeping Tom if they see it.

    • Ordered 10th, shipped 13th, arrive 19th to Perth.

Maybe you could mount one of these inside the window instead. Two can play at that game…

  • This deal is back again, coupon is still working

  • Mine arrived a few days back . Yet to set it up. Thinking of installing the app on an older cheaper Android phone rather than my daily one
