Hey guys, managed to get a code off the Gearbest rep for the Silver version of the Xiaomi pen! (I think the silver one is metal vs. the white using plastic?)

    Thank you so much, I have this one and it's on another level from the white version! Ink is way better, it's probably the best pen I've used for the price, such good timing.

      Interesting. I have one, and the ink cartridge is garbage. Scratchy as hell and it skips. Nothing like the ink in the white version (which I rather like).

          I think I must have a dud - it's honestly bad enough that I just don't use it. Use the regular white one every day, though.

          @JMC: might be the paper sometimes.
          It doesn't work that well on recycled paper or trash officeworks lined paper, but works perfectly on reflex white paper for me :/

    Total AU conversation came up as $3.45 rather than $3.30. Don't know, all my PayPal purchases turn up higher than usually estimated on OzB deals for some reason. Anyway, thanks OP.

      Make sure for any future gearbest purchases, use AUD on the GB website as they offer the best conversion rate at the moment, no need to buy in USD.

          Just up the top right of the page is currency options, change USD to AUD and from then on, any purchases made on that browser will be in AUD.

          @doweyy: Oh! Got it now. Thank you very much for that. It never occurred to me that's how to do the currency conversation while purchasing stuff on GB. I thought it was done on the PayPal window right before finalizing the purchase, and it was always giving me higher conversion. Haha!

          All good! It didn’t use to be that way, but like a month ago their conversion rates went below the spot rate, so their rates are generally the best at the moment!

      Pay in AUD on GearBest & AUD on PayPal = AU $3.30
      Pay in USD on GearBest & USD on PayPal = ~ AU $3.33 From today's MasterCard rates
      Pay in USD on GearBest & AUD on PayPal = AU $3.45

      Never do option 3. Do option 1 or 2, whatever works out cheaper (in this case option 1, Gearbest's USD to AUD exchange rate is lower than the current MasterCard/VISA rate)

      For option 2, you need to change it on PayPal so it doesn't auto convert payment from USD to AUD using their poor rates:

      At checkout when you select your payment method: Select "View currency conversion options" under the exchange rate. Then select "Convert with card provider".

        Funny thing is, I tried that last part "View currency conversion options… Convert with card provider", but it was actually higher. It came up like $3.59 AU or something. I'll see if I can figure out how to do on GB site in the future. Thanks

      I can't think of anything, other than it's made by Xiaomi and is relatively cheap.

      It doesn't feel good to write with imo. It's a fine tip, so it's sharp and not smooth.

      I'll have to check again, but it looks like a standard Parker-style refill. It definitely doesn't fit the white mijia pen refills.

      It does not, the gold/silver models have a different refill
