  • yay save $10 by using $10

…and spending at least $181 more

It's basically save 5% (at best) not worth the trouble and definately not a bargain.

No OP, your maths is faulty, it's not 10% off. At best you pay $210 to get $220 worth. That's less than 5%.

      NO DEAL!

    • No, at best you pay $190 for $200.01 order total.

      Just over 5% off.

$200.01 (order total over $200) - $20 (voucher) + $9.99 (amount you payed for voucher) = $190 (amount it actually cost you).

      • It says the voucher can only be used if the order exceeds $200. So it would appear you need to reach $200.01 before being able to apply the voucher.

Plus the $9.99 to buy the voucher

= $210 out of your wallet

        • You forgot to apply the value of the voucher.

          $210 - $20 = $190 out of your wallet.

  • This baffles me. What's wrong with going "$10 off your next purchase over $200"?

This is needlessly complicated, and just makes me suspicious of what they're doing with this…

    • What’s wrong with going “$10 off your next purchase over $200”?

Because doing it this way means you do not need to purchase any components immediately.

Buying the voucher now means that you can make the purchase when ever you like as there is no expiry for the voucher you purchase.

  • they are hoping that some idiots would not read the fine print!!

or some one skip the maths like OP :)

Was this a late Halloween joke? The deal is so token that it's embarrassing!

Pathetic deal. This place is for real bargains - not offers full of terms and conditions that are worth only 4-5%.

  • There is no value in this 'bargain'. Getting a maximum of 5% off on already overpriced foods is a neg for me.

  • Promotion fail.

I remember these guys used to have a very communicative and obliging rep last year, but haven't been seeing her in any of their recent deals. They don't have shit prices but nothing lately that screams "what a great deal".

For those wondering where their negative votes have gone, I've removed them as per our voting guidelines. If you have voted based on the OP's comment on 10% savings, I've already corrected this so the negatives are removed. If it's not based on this, then your negative vote is not really justified. I don't see anything seriously wrong with the deal apart from the OP's inaccurate comment on the savings.

Yes the bargain value in this deal may seem trivial but nonetheless, it may still benefit some people that may be purchasing something over $200 from 9289. If you don't think this is a bargain or don't like the deal, then a no-vote would be appropriate. This alone will eventually bury the post if it's not popular.

By voting negative on this deal just because you don't think it is a good bargain, not only will you cause others who may find the deal useful to lose out, but you are also essentially putting the OP into a temporary ban from posting further deals. The OP has been a member for over 3 years and have shared quite a few good bargains in the past, so I have no doubt that the OP's intentions are to share this deal with those who may benefit from it.

Maybe Scott should look into it… any members age 1.5+ yr should be excluded from the banned list!

  • Hi guys. Sorry about the big fuss. I didn't read my own post properly, where it said you could only use 1 voucher per order. Hahaha…

    My bad. I'm sorry.

Mods: thanks for being good about it.

Anyway, thanks to all who pointed out the mistake. I will certainly try to be more diligent in future.

  • I'm probably not going to use it but THANK YOU for letting us know.

  • Margins are slim I guess, and most people here would save this until they where buying something that was cheap anyway. I would have gone with $20 for $50, it has a much better ring to it.
