        No actually not anymore, the win 10 home license key is baked into the mainboard so you just do a reinstall using the ISO from the Microsoft website, which also gets rid of any bloat/spyware in most cases.

    As much as I love Xiaomi products idn if I could justify risking potential warranty claims on laptop with them, just seems like a huge mission to send it back over if anything went wrong

        Thats true but I feel like Amazon's customer service would be significantly better than having to deal with gearbest, my god if they cant even refund my lost pen imagine the pain of dealing with a 1k laptop hahaha

        Part of the success factor of Amazon is their return policy and customer service.

        They normally give you store credit first while waiting for your return and also cover the return shipping, all done professionally.
