Logitech UE Boom 2 Phantom BT Speaker - $140.20 Posted, $135.20 C&C @ Good Guys eBay Store

250
PULL20

Bought one of these a few months ago and had a friend say they wanted one. Great speaker. Loud for its size.

Saw this listing just now while I was looking for one and it doesn’t seem to have been price jacked. (For the Good Guys, that may still be a pricing error.)

Yeah, yeah, I know, it's not the best price ever, but it's not bad for Australian stock from bricks and mortar store (Your store may some some, they may have none.)

Not quite as good as the pricing error price they offered a week ago, but may be of some solace for some. (Did anyone actually get theirs from that deal?)

Deal expires tomorrow…

Specs:

  • It's black.
  • Makes noise and other pleasant sounds.
  • Runs on battery power.
  • Has Bluetooth.
  • Comes in a cardboard box with some books and cables.

STILL haven't got a refund for their pricing error for this the other week. PayPal dispute in progress. Terrible customer service.

    • me too waiting for the refund.

There's no excuse for it taking this long.

        • -8

what if their excuse is that it was posted on ozbargain and its just taking so long to process all of the refunds.
          thats understandable isnt it?

          @Hirolol:

No. Any decent system should be able to easily batch process refunds. Especially for PayPal orders.

          @Hirolol:

what is this? what do you mean? what is even your point? you made me laugh.

Haha, it was a joke but sometimes ozbargain are a really tough crowd!!

      • same

    • I had to file a PayPal dispute to get it back, it shouldn't take more than a week.

    • Same. Joke attitude that I won't be dealing with again, WHEN I get my refund!

    • Phew! I thought I was the only one

      • +1

No, got a paypal notification today that paypal had determined that good guys were in breach and they've initiated the refund on my behalf as good guys said they would and didn't.

If this is the good guys attitude, mine is I don't care to support that business model again, regardless of price, I can price match elsewhere and leave good guys to rot.

according to the thumbnail we can just dunk this under water, right?
brb, going to test it now.

Has to be from a bottle of voss water

It would be fine. It's IPX7 water rated, meaning it's okay for up to 30 min at a depth of 1 metre or less

  • Looking at buying one. Is this a decent deal?

You can usually get them for about this price as grey imports - but this is a very good price for local stock.

Just ordered the Cashmere coloured one - no stock for click & collect but the extra $5 is worth it for wife approval factor.

      • Thanks for your comment senorclean. I think I'll pull the trigger on the brainfeeze colour.

I was tossing up between this or the jbl charge 3. I reckon for the price the boom 2 represents good value.

    • did you want bass? goes loud, not low.

  • Can't wait for the new Megaboom, wish UE let us know when they will release it

  • Good price but would recommend the wonder boom over this model

    • Why??

      • Read a few reviews and comparisons. It’s a new model, and despite being a cheaper model is superior in nearly every way. Not nearly as well known as the roll design / shape though. I think you can find them about the same price as this deal too

  • Did anyone's come packaged in a cylindrical cardboard box, and not the usual plastic cylinder?

    • I can’t speak for this deal, but of the 3 of these I have bought in the past, all of them have come in cardboard cylinders. It’s genuine, marked with pretty Logitech logos as you would expect a genuine packaging to be. I’ve never received one in a plastic cylinder.

Are you saying it looks genuine but cardboard, or are you saying. That it looks just like a plain brown cardboard cylinder?

Should have looked something like this…

Or see if it looks anything like this unboxing video…

      • Mine came in a box like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1gKrKkA56E&t=182s

It looks genuine, Logitech must just be trying to cost some of that packaging cost.

Having a closer look at the 2017 unboxing videos on youtube, seems like the UE Boom 2's are now packaged like this.

        • OMG! My ears! Glad the speakers sound better than that squeaky kids voice.

And yeah, that looks more like the packaging I got with mine in the 3 seconds I could stand of that kids voice in that video. :D
