I don't think this has GPS, despite what the website says.

      It is crowd gps.

  • I'm failing to see how it utilises GPS…

    • Phone GPS position whilst connected, and when it disconnects.

    Reviews not the greatest.
Anyone buying items based on GB reviews is an utter fool.
One of the not so good GB specials this one.

These things are useless. Similar to other brands I have to rely on others with a similar product to be in Bluetooth proximity. Someone gave me a 'tile' and I promptly handed it back after a week. They need to come up with something with built-in GPS

    • Unfortunately GPS consumes much more battery

    • Tile works fine for stuff if you're talking in your house. It has a purpose, just not your use case. Works great for stuff like kid's toys, keys, etc.

    • They are useful in a number of circumstances. You can put them on your keys if you tend to lose them, or in a suitcase to keep track of it at the airport. Or even on the dog so you can be alerted if it escapes and goes roaming.

The whole 'gps' thing is a joke, but Bluetooth beacons have their uses.

Try code hogwarts1011 to buy at better price!

  • "The Code you entered has expired." bought for $1.74 anyway

  • Bluetooth 5.0 is the lastest

  • Worse than useless. If you or your family are prone to losing keys you want something reliable that will give you a GPS position and make the device emit an audible sound, not an app that's going to tell you roughly where it is based on when it last talked to your phone.

My wife recently lost her keys in Albury visiting family. (We are in Sydney). She had all her family looking for them and put a $50 bounty on them with the kids. She went to the police station to see if they had been handed in. They were lost for 3-4 days and I had to send the spare keys to her via a colleague of my brother in law (who is a pilot) which meant I had to drop them off across town (over an houra way).

Turns out she had put them in the drink bottle compartment on her laptop bag. I was putting away the laptop, shook the bag just in case, and heard them jiggle.

At best this thing may have let her know the keys were still in her possession (somewhere) but as for finding them…

    • But did she give you the $50?

Nup, I'm the bread winner. She's a casual primary school teacher. That was my $50 she was giving away :P

There were jokes about me getting that $50 for the next week from family though.

  • Just received it. Bought 18th Oct, received 10th Nov. Not bad!

    Good: fastish shipping, paid $1.26

Bad: the app you have to install has many bad reviews: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoqin.find…
