  • I paid $799 for this machine (no grinder) when it was first released about 12 years ago.

If only you've waited for 12 years and you could've gotten this deal!

      • +2

Yep, the high price of being an early adopter!

    • +1

Have you got your return on investment by now. If so, have you slept for the last 12 years.

  • Good investment

  • I was so damn tempted last time this deal was on, largely due to the excellent reviews across the board for the PU6910.

  • I got one last time $329 from myer still unopened …

    • Same here ,,, but opening mine today. mmmm coffee.

  • Sold out

  • Pity if it is sold out.

Like Ash2000 I paid about $700 for the coffee machine years ago and it is still doing good service with my daughter. (I have moved on to a much more expensive machine - about 4 times the original Sunbeam price but not 4 times as good)

You don’t read much about failures on these machines - certainly less than the Breville twin boiler, which is supposedly a better machine (coffee-wise) but doesn’t have a good rep for reliability.

For this price it is a great buy for someone wanting a reasonable machine. I would sell the grinder and buy a Breville SmartGrinder the next time it is at a good price.

  • I was going to order this one last time but my credit card had expired and the new one was sent to an old address (where my ex's new partner opened it and apparently thought I'd be cool with activating the card even after they had access to it). So I missed out. And I miss out again, this is what I get for not checking Ozb every 20 minutes >.<

    • (where my ex's new partner opened it and apparently thought I'd be cool with activating the card even after they had access to it)

Gee, that was awfully helpful of them! I'm sure you were thrilled they went the extra mile to assist you this way.

  • If possible, try going into a store to order one. I was able to score one on the last deal this way as a gift for someone, the staff in the store were able to hunt around and find stock at other locations.

Having said that, I think anyone stocking Sunbeam appliances are trying to run this model out since it's no longer in production. I reckon they'll be getting pretty thin on the ground these days.

    • The stores aren’t able to order them on their iPads because it’s “out of stock”, so you’ll have to call up and do it as a phone order - I had to do this weekend before last, because they couldn’t do it in store.

Stock wise, Garden City QLD shows stock but doesn’t have one (they have a box but no machine/grinder) and north lakes QLD has one but it’s missing the grinder. Apparently Sydney city had a few.

  • Pretty sure the description is wrong on this machine….it says an "integral coffee grinder??" Hmmmm.

  • Back in stock.
