  • Sweet. Also got it with express shipping.

    • 5 different colours (blue, red, orange, green, purple)

      There's no yellow.

      • Ah okay, on some posts, some said they could grab yellow ones, that confused me.

        • +2

They added yellow once everything else sold out. Looks like it's been taken off again.

        • +1

Oh sorry, didn't know there were yellow ones. Maybe once these go out of stock again they'll put them out ;)

        • +1

          @garffi:

woot got my hands on yellow ones :D

  • +2

    And nope, they're gone :(

  • +2

    These look so gay

  • +1

    Not all gone it seems.

As of right now it looks like purple are in stock, but all other colours are out of stock.

I just placed an order, didn't run into any errors, and received a confirmation email.

    • cheers, seemed OOS for all five 10 minutes ago. Ordered!

      • Yeah I'm thinking stock will probably fluctuate for a bit as they add more, cancel dodgy orders, etc.

  • Fuark, should've read the email. Received an email at 3pm :(

  • Awesome, managed to snag myself the yellow ones

  • -7

    i just ordered 24 laces.
I expected to be rejected (i still expect it)

    Stocking fillers I guess

    • +1

But are you gonna give it to other people?

  • Just placed an order for one of each colour and it appears to have gone through.

  • Just ordered green ones right now! Green, orange, yellow and purple were in stock (managed to get them all in my cart but I opted to just get one-the green one). I tried ordering 2hrs ago but to no avail but strangely it works now :)

  • No Green :(

  • I just clicked through via the link to yellow laces posted above. Website working fine. No issues with stock. Order has already been confirmed. All good. Thanks OP.

  • +2

Resisted temptation to go 2000x Green

  • +1

  • +2

"You need to choose options for your item."

Hmm not letting me choose an option?

  • Got 1x green and 1x Orange as of around 4 mins ago - looks like I got the last of the stock!
Blue is out of stock and I can't seem to pick option sizes for the rest?

  • -4

    • Can confirm, just grabbed 2 yellows as well :)

  • OS for all of them atm

    • +1

I can still add the yellow to the cart but yes out of the stock of the other colours.

      • Just got a yellow… Strange…

  • +3

"you should be allowed to marry the person you love." Says who? Just because a number of other countries allow it doesn't mean it "should" be allowed here.

    • +11

Says Puma. They are sharing their opinion.

      • +3

Somewhat hypocritical, considering most of their clothing is made in countries where same-sex marriage is illegal (such as my Puma T-shirt made in El Salvador). In fact, Puma is based in Germany, where it's also illegal (but I suppose that's not really relevant).

        • +7

          Legal in Germany :)

But yr free to disagree, and not wear the laces or their clothes.

I can guarantee that enforcing a shoelace code is not part of the agenda (you wouldn't believe the arguments over slip ons, shoes with no socks and, ugh, Velcro…) :)

        • @TheRealCher: You're right, it is too… I guess that explains this whole thing.

    • +3

says most of Australia, hopefully. Or maybe most of us are bigoted, guess we'll see.

      • +1

A non-compulsory vote is somewhat meaningless, given that people who feel strongly about gay marriage are more likely to vote.

        • +1

Just looked it up, 67% of votes returned, actually better than expected. But yeah, there should have never been a poll.

        • +3

As opposed to those who don't feel strongly about gay marriage? If they don't feel strongly about it then why deny anyone happiness… I'd think you'd have to feel strongly about it to take such a stand.

        • +1

@FatBlanket: why would you have to feel strongly about it to vote "no", given that it's the "default", ie the way things are currently?

  • Oos on all colours now.

  • +1

    i can't pick a size?

    • +1

      Me, too.

    • +1

go with large, then insert as required

      • +1

How do you put it in? It is greyed out?

        • +1

          /jk
cant pick size = 'currently' out of stock.

        • @payton: thought so

  • Yep can't add to cart

  • +1

Aw damn it, I really wanted a green pair. Serves me right for not checking OzB when I'm at work.

  • +1

    Equality knot laces not available!
Guess that defeats the purpose of their campaign, hey…

  • +2

    got the fudge brown

  • +1

Why would I want anything not made by Xiaomi?

Clever promotion. Would have got some.

  • They're not multicoloured? That so cis-heteronormative!

  • i have extra 1 red, if anyone wants swap i am looking for 1 green. PM me.

Haven't receive yet, but my order stated 2 red instead of 1 green, for some reason i thought i did order 1 green, fingers crossed!
    Thanks.

  • blue with pink laces ONLY

  • anyone has received this order?

  • +2

    Received an email:

Thank you very much for supporting the #LetUsAllTieTheKnot initiative, your laces are on the way.

Due to the overwhelming support we have received for the campaign, we were only able to send one pair of laces to the address you supplied.

The thing is, I have only ordered one pair.

    • I ordered more than one pair and just got the same e-mail. I guess it's pot luck as to what colour I will actually get. Still, free is free.

      • +1

They probably just sent the same email to everyone who ordered.

Reducing everyone's order to a single pair was a good way of handling things. I thought they might just cancel all the multiple pair orders.

      • +2

Is it REALLY free? Or is it a form of subliminal advertising and bribe? ;)

  • I received mine today!

  • Back in stock, new website using a Google Doc. Confirmed real link from Youtube Video.

    • Cheers - grabbed a set for my GF - she'll love them!

  • They ask for your email twice, and ACT isn't listed as a state, not sure what's going on there…

    • +4

Well it's cause of the knob-heads in Canberra they've gotta go to all this trouble - fair enough if they decide to skip Canberra! ;-)

      • While that's true, most of the Canberra citizens would still like to show our opposition to the plebiscite, and that gay marriage should just be made legal.

Maybe once they make gay marriage legal they'll start making other progressive changes, like making it so that private religious schools can't expel students due to their sexuality.

        • +1

It will get even "better" than that. Voicing support of traditional marriage or against gender fluidity will become a hate crime.

        • -1

@heal: Uhhh… It's called marriage equality, buddy. It means equal marriage, not gay marriage only. Why the heck would anyone complain about voicing support for traditional marriage, other than because it's a dated religious custom?

Although, I agree that eventually voicing against gender fluidity will be frowned upon, but I believe that will be progressive, just like how voicing your opinion against people being gay is frowned upon. I personally don't see why people should have to choose to be masculine or feminine, and believe that anyone should be able to identify however they wish, and don't understand how it could possibly affect those who are against it.

Currently, we're nowhere near that, since the most popular schools in the capital of our nation are private religious schools, who are given the freedom to expel students simply for being gay.

I look forward to seeing more equality in our nation and people telling others how they should identify being frowned upon.

        • +1

          @BradleyDS2:

          It's called marriage equality, buddy.

It's actually not, buddy. I didn't see the word equality in the letter from the ABS. I gotta say, the Yes side have done a good job with their slogans.

how voicing your opinion against people being gay is frowned upon
and don't understand how it could possibly affect those who are against it.

Can't find where I said that. Certainly not true of me. I suspect that voicing one's opinion about gay marriage and gender fluidity will one day become a hate crime, and certainly there will be discrimination against opponents of this, as seen in other countries. Interesting to see examples of the side seeking 'freedoms' and changes to the law, and once the changes go ahead they become oppressors (justified, of course). Promises and safeguards have been quickly forgotten. Progressive indeed.

        • -1

@heal: Troll level = obvious indeed.

You sound like a racist would have when slavery was abolished.

        • +1

          @BradleyDS2:
Out come the labels from the tolerant progressives, rather than mount an argument over an issue, shake hands and move on.

  • Time to replace the slippery laces in my puma shoes which keeps untying itself every other day.

  • +1

    Received mine yesterday.

  • Hm, the new site doesn't offer you to choose colour or anything :(

  • +2

Interesting how all these corporations are jumping on the same sex marriage bandwagon. Their marketing teams have obviously done their work and have determined this is a popular and "safe" cause to get behind. Usually corporations avoid political stances, I mean you'd never see most of them stand up for refugees, no sweat shop labour, etc.. It's kind of sick, in a way, exploiting real political causes for a marketing win. But they're corporations so what do you expect

  • The form asks for email twice

    Screenshot

  • +3

I wonder how quick the outrage and calls for a boycott would be if a company offers a free product in support of traditional marriage.

    • +2

Careful, having the wrong opinion about this issue will soon land you in hot water.
LGBTQIXYZ proponents will soon be hunting you down and demanding you get fired from your job for being a "bigot". Honestly, my hat goes off to them because this is amazingly successful social engineering.

      • +1

I chose not to cancel out the neg, only because it proves your point
