Singapore Return from Perth $222, Gold Coast $262, Sydney or Melbourne $302 via Scoot (March - May 2018)

850

Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out my first post! I'm currently developing a low price flight & hotel comparison site and came across this deal to Singapore that was released by Scoot Airlines this morning.

*5 day sale for flights up to the 24th of May 2018.

*Flights only - Baggage / Meals / Entertainment extra.

Perth - Singapore Return from $222
Gold Coast - Singapore Return from $262
Melbourne - Singapore Return from $302
Sydney - Singapore Return from $302

Flights appear to be selling fast and most of the cheapest fares appear to be in the Mar-May period next year, so play around a bit with the searching.

Best of luck grabbing a bargain to Singapore!

got told about cheap flights to Singapore 2 days ago, need to be quicker then that in the comparison game! :)

    • +2

You are quick! :) Got an email from Scoot this morning about it. I will work out ways of being even quicker! :)

    • +4

Why didn't you post the deal then? :)

      • +6

Been on here long enough to see the harsh treatment people can get when they post deals, cant say that encourages me to take the time to post deals…

It's gotta be a good deal, if it's mediocre or okay (or has been cheaper before, recently) yeah you can get cut to shreds. But in LowPriceFly's case he got +40 upvotes :)

Wow man , you should host an AMA,
Hats off to you , going in the face of such stiff competition. Best of luck

Thank you dealman, I appreciate your positive comments. An AMA might be an option in the future. You are very right, there is a lot of competition out there. I fortunately have a working background in the airline industry so its a bit of a passion of mine. Cheers :)

      • The good thing is there's unlimited demand for cheaper flights and if you can do it one little bit better, there's more power to you.

        Ama please.

  • ANOTHER comparison site? good luck!

  • +1

Actually, the better deal is if you can find a Jetstar flight that leaves within one hour of the scoot flight… then price match like I did! :)
Check out the Melbourne to Singapore flight.

    • International flights just need to be the same calendar day, not within an hour :)

“within the same calendar day if they’re international flights (excluding flights within Asia and flights between Australia and New Zealand).”
Within Asia meaning starting and finishing in Asia

  • This is a great deal!

Pity the AFP are holding onto my passport 'for checking'.

You don't need a passport to book!

Is there any way to change or add a new search mode that would tell me when the lowest prices are, so that I could then look at those dates closely?

Some people look for specific dates and then book whatever fare is cheapest then, but there are those who would simply like to know when the best deals are and then try to travel during those dates (especially when you can look well ahead into the coming months).

    • Hi Astero, thanks for the enquiry. At this stage we can only search this way, but maybe in the future we may look at developing a flight calendar type system which would save the time of conducting all the individual searches.

  • Hey Mate Can't find cheap dates for Syd to Sing (Return) 3-4 days between 15th April and 30th April. Any idea?

    • Hello SpotTheOzzie,

Scoot have applied some blackout periods during peak times (IE school holidays etc). The fares may well have unfortunately sold out as they tend to only offer a few seats per flight at the very low prices. If you can be flexible with the dates, you can often get lucky with these types of amazing fares. Best of luck mate!

Dammit mate :( My partner is a school teacher so it doesn't work unfortunately :(

        • I know your pain.

The bright side is they only work like 7 mths a year or something right ;)

        • @derrick44:

          As do I…….

        • @chb: Haha - Actually I only work 6 months of the year… Don't forget my lunch breaks, before-school 9am and after-school 3pm that I don't work either which equates to an additional one month holiday…

        • @Tuhan:
Those people who negged me must be because I put 7 mths instead of 6 ;)

I have friends who are teachers and yes they brag about it.

        • @chb: hahaha - Doesn't bother me one bit that ppl think I only work 7 months of the year. I know it frustrates a lot of my colleagues when people bang on about it.. lol. I do love my 6 weeks over Christmas though ;)

  • Looks like Scoot is not displaying the fare inclusive of all charges…e.g. $149 fare changes to $193 when you click through. Not sure if this is allowed?

    • Things like baggage and selecting seats etc are all optional extras.

Also, so is paying with a debit/credit card.

We paid $288return for singapore flights 3 days ago.

      • Did not select any extras, the fare just changed

        • +1

I paid the $20 credit card fee but also reported it to the ACCC. The laws were changed recently to limit fees to a max of 1.5%. My $258 ticket shouldn't have attracted a fee above $4. Probably wont do any good, but still.

"It will apply to all businesses from September 1, 2017."
