Buy now regret later is my general rule :)

    • +3

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission..

Although, I'm not getting one because I know my wife will just divorce me.

      • I hate the controlling wife, it's my money I hard earned it so don't give me the crap I can't buy this and that.

I would just use my own bank account via Visa and leave no traces.

Don't use the credit card or anything that she can check.

      DONT DO IT MAN!!!

My accounts are now randomly audited….sometimes on a daily basis

      • You are doing it wrong. Why are you bring financially controlled…? Makes no sense.

  • +5

Note: whether or not the propeller guards and wireless connector will be sent is random. wow couldn't be dodgier

Isn't it prop guards with the 1080p version and WiFi dongle with the 4K? My US-plug Mi Drone 4K turned up this week with a dongle, which was a listed accessory in the included English manual (prop guards were not).

Edit: seems not. There are forum posts across the Internet stating people got one or the other with their 4K.

      • I bought my 4K Drone instore from Official Mi Store in Beijing ($80 more expensive) and it came with the guards and not the dongle.

Another shopper in-store got the same drone and it had the opposite. I don't think this has anything to do with Gearbest as they would ship the drone sealed im guessing?

    • sorry op chance purchases not my thing neg till rectified

      • +1

Valid point. I hadn't noticed this.

I'll reach out to gearbest to see if they can clarify.

      • It seems most people use the USB tethering instead of the Wifi dongle to reduce interference (and it charges your phone as well). And I see a lot of people recommending not using the prop guards anyhow…

Not sure why either of these would stop you buying. It'd be the same as not buying a new car because it didn't come with fluffy dice :)

so your saying if you went to buy a new car and the salesman said we will get it ready for you it may or may not come with weather shields and floor mats that wouldn't bother you?

        • @ABUKEE: The salesman would be saying, "It will come with either floor mats OR weather shields."

I don't use the WiFi dongle nor would I bother using the prop guards, so I'd rather pay the cheapest deal price than pay more just to know which unused accessory it was coming with.

@Thrift: that's your opinion and mine is above just letting everybody know before they invest a large some of money

        • -1

@ABUKEE: Actually, no, it's more like them saying they'll give you either a "No Fear" sticker or an "Oakley Thermonuclear Protection" sticker for your car - If you're smart, you won't use either - so why would you let something inconsequential change your choice about whether to buy in the first place?

        • Him that probably explains why the vision I'm watching starts dropping out.

Shall try the tether again, cheers

I've confirmed with the rep and that comment applies to both US and CN models.

They also confirmed that this model will be shipped with a wireless dongle.

        • neg removed thanks

    • +3

propeller guards doesn't come with the 4K version unfortunately. However the Wireless dongle should come with it. I got mine when it first came out, paid around $800 inc 1 extra battery. so this is a bargain for this price. For a first timer, this is definitely a nice drone to fly!

  • Just note that if you buy from GB you are not going to get any sort of prompt shipping or delivery, any support or warranty or price/guarantee or any level of service from them.

    • any support or warranty

Contact the manufacturer for a rma when needed?

    • +2

I think everyone has their mixed thoughts with them. I for one have had good experience with both delivery and post sales.

Price is dropping by every post!

    • +2

Yup and when it becomes free with every new account subscription, I'll go to the effort of creating a fake email to get one. :p

  • 4K under $500. Hmmm . Must resist.

    • I couldn't :(

  • Has anyone been able to find a spare battery for the drone cheap?

  • Anyone else had an issue where their quad won't take off? Had to send mine back, and am wondering whether I should get a replacement or a refund.

  • When I am logged in and apply the code it increases the price by about $60 lol

    Think the code is finished
