  • HAHAHA - good one, like a "Ozbargain" trump card :-)

  • I was going to buy it but bad reviews put me off :(
    Great deal though.

  • Didn't a WOW rep post this as a comment on the other PspGo page.
    Still quick thinking so +1..
I was planning on posting it but as the rep said, there are not too many left, so might get negged :/

  • +1 for the quick thinking as well :)

  • great console, i love my one

    • -4

guess you haven't played with a psp 1000,2000 or 3000

      • +6

        I have a 3000, I've had multiple 2000 and 1000 models. I like the hardware, it's a great console.

Oh and I've been in the PSP hacking scene for 5 years now, been admin at the biggest PSP hacking site on the net and don't mind paying for games when they are worth it.

          ohhhh, burnt uraha

      • +1

        lol uraha owned by Beaker

        • +2

lol uraha bitch slapped back to Baghdad !

    • dude you should try physical media..it IS cheap

      • +1

Physical media sucks, it's noisy, slow to load and battery consuming. Even when I bought games for older model PSPs it was through PSN when possible though I have bought UMDs and ripped them to memory stick.

        • PSN ain't too cheap, plus you can trade UMD but not digital
Depends on what you prefer, I like to play games for a while then trade them back for a new game, also me and my friends buy different games and then swap them over(not just PSP but PS3 and PC as well)

        • +1

PSN can be shared between 5 consoles so when I buy a game I get 2 copies for my consoles and share with 3 friends. They do the same with me so yeah it seems to work out much cheaper this way. I know not everyone does it this way but for me its great.

  • Out of stock, please check back soon

    • +5

      no, it hasn't

      • Hey, Beaker, has the Go been hacked yet?

        • +1

yeah, there's a couple exploits to run homebrew,
one being you run the Patapon 2 demo and load a hacked save file, then you can run emulators and homebrew.
or there's the exploit for Everybody's Golf, like the patapon demo but you need the actual game.
the bonus is that it works on higher firmware versions. (patapon is 6.20 and less, everybody's golf is 6.30 & 6.31)
Also there's a custom firmware coming out soon that let's you run homebrew games without having to do the exploit first.

As far as 'backups' go, that won't happen on the PSP Go.
but there is a wide range of homebrew games and applications that you can get easily with this pc application called "Twisted Download".

        • +1

Yes, in the next few days we will see 6.20 TNA CFW, this is a kernel exploit and though the CFW doesn't include an iso loader it is only a matter of time before an iso loader pops up.

          http://www.psp-hacks.com/2010/10/31/demo-5-6-20-tn-a-hen-on-…

This is 100% real, psp-hacks supplied the guy with the Go as he was developing for 1,2 and 3k models only (he had no Go)
Do not update past 6.20 though, new Go comes with 6.20 FW.

My main problem with this is even if I purchase it, I'm tethering myself to PSN and their ridiculous pricing. Console + 10 games for $200 is a bargain, but any subsequent purchases will still sting.

Oh, and completely incompatible with my old library of UMDs.

    • It's not too bad.
From what I hear, there are regular specials on games every week, like on Steam, where their quite decently priced.
Also,if you managed to con any of your other friends into buying a Go, you can share a single PSN account between several devices, and split the bill for games by however many friends you have.
      Just rumours though….

  • I'm tempted to get one even though I have 2000.

    Hmmmm…

  • i got a 2000 too, i read a really nerdy review months back and the PspGo is not as good as they could've made it, alot of negs (but that was at a high price). so i must admit this is a really nice device for such a price.

    back in stock people :-)

  • I seriously would not recommend this system to anyone. It's a total cash grab and there are far better portables out there.

    • +2

Until the 3DS or PSP2 is released there is not a better portable out there in my opinion. 10 free games as well? And if you keep an eye on the PSN sales you can pick up real bargains. Oh and then there is the essential range, great games for $11.95

      • +2

Also if your a PSN+ member, every month there is a free PS1 and number of free PS mini games, which is good for building up a software library (legitimately)

        • Yeah, I've been a PS+ member since day one, well worth it for me.

    • Would you care to name them?
If you say "iPhone", there is no better definition for "cash grab" but that. I'm not clear on the comparisons in hardware specs, but to play games, the PSP is a great device.

  • I'd be more tempted if any of my favourite PSP games were actually in the PSN store >_> Unless ISO loading ever happens, I guess it's silly for me to buy since all I actually seem to play is 'Hatsune Miku' games and Yu-Gi-Oh (Yeah, I'm freakin' hardcore). (Not that I don't like other games like GTA or AC, but I have consoles for those big games..). Guess I'll stick to my DS for a while longer. Phoenix Wright!

    • Yeah, if they had the Yu-Gi-Oh games (especially TagForce 5) i'd buy this right now. But some of Konami's games just aren't on the PSN =[

  • The offer from Sony has been extended until 31-Jan. Looks like we're holding the $199 price for now.
details and instructions for the offer here - http://pspgopromotion.eu.playstation.com/en_AU/pspgo.php?loc…

I'm not sure if that warrants a repost or not, I'll leave that with you :)
