240

One of cheapest prices I have seen for a cordless 18V drill.

Just keep in mind, not power x-change compatible, single speed at 550rpm.
I place a 2 speed highly desirable on a general purpose drill.

Also keep in mind you can replace it for an equally crap drill if it breaks down in 3 years!

      3 Year Replacement Warranty

Having said that, I have an Ozito drill from 4 years ago and my 2 batteries are dead.

      • That's cheap cost-of-ownership

      • I have a 5 plus year old 12v Ozito drill, driver, multi tool set that still runs like new and it has had a hard life at times.

        • Mine drilled about 6 holes 4 years ago.
One battery had a sweet life. The other battery, a wasted opportunity. Probably should have taken my drill batteries out for walkies, etc.

Wow. Its almost like they have different models at different prices and people have different needs.

      Variable Speed
      Yes

      Is description wrong?

      • +2

Variable speed by trigger, can't change gears for more torque.

        • Aw I see, cheers

        • Wait, so does "21 Torque Settings" just mean the trigger is sensitive to 21 steps?

          @xrailgun:

It sets how hard a screw will be driven in, the large collar near the chuck is twisted to set from 1 to 21 and sets when a clutch disengages to limit the torque driving a screw.
The trigger is narmally fully variable.
The Hi or Low gear switch that this is missing, changes gear to allow for example 300 rpm in low with a lot of torque (like a car in 1st gear) and high is say 1500 rpm with lower torque (like a car in 5th gear).

  • This one with the hammer function would have better, but this isn't bad either for the price: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P589t6iyLms

  • I have an Ozito cordless with 15 speeds and hammer. Don’t expect it to drill much aside from the occasional hole and drive screws into studs and you’ll feel like you got a bargain….

If it’s all you can afford I’d say go for it. If you can afford something else go for that..

      Haha, good advice
