  • I wonder how good a $50 petrol line trimmer would go. Last long time perhaps?.

Gee and here i paid $400 for a Honda GX25 powered line trimmer when i could have paid $50 for a cheap shit line trimmer.

Actually i wouldn't give it 6 months before this line trimmer breaks down.

    • +1

      These are usually $89. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323355
Quality wise I'd say they are comparable to Homelite from Bunnings
      Happy trimming

Edit: product comes with 3 year warranty
that should protect the $49.99 investment somewhat

      • last time i bought a line trimmer from Aldi, it was so hard to start. Even had the local mower shop try and start it and they couldn't. Ended up returning it and the Aldi worker said I was the 3rd one of the day who returned it for the same problem

        • So in other words they are not so good. Explains the reason why the price has been slashed to $50. They just want to get rid of them.

On another note. I'm still using my Bushranger B25 (Honda GX25 powered) line trimmer a few years later and it's still going fine. Paid $400 for it though but you get what you pay for.

        • nvm

  • Tempting, reviews seem like it's a hit or miss.
But the warranty and return policy gives it a reason to give it a go.

  • What like are the homelite ones from bunnings i only use like every 3 months i got some cheap 49cc one from dealsdirect i think or its sister company not long after i had it and issues got part refund to the point i demanded full refund now where my fuel line goes to motor leaks when started so no longer safe to use. Bit annoying but least i got a few yrs out of it and was free in the end.
But now i need another but what do you recommend something cheap.

    • Cheap doesn't necessarily mean better as you found out.
