  • What was the old price?

RRP $99, was 59 about 2 weeks ago when eBay running 20% off offer

  • is this the one that features automatic lid open function once hitting the boiling point ?

    • Slow Release Lid when push the release button, never heard a function of auto openning when boiling

        • Fair enough, did not read the review before, will keep an eye on it

      • I find these ones the slow release lids become really slow and eventually doesn't fully open is that still the case?

    yeah don't get this kettle
I had one in Jan in a few months the lid opened after boiling
then it opened during boiling so it never finished boiling unless we close the lid
i exchanged it, and had the same thing, just faster

exchanged again for the sunbeam one, seems to be ok currently

I have owned one, but had to return it.
It was beautiful and appeared well manufactured. However, the lid is a pain; when you press the button, it often won't open. Especially after it was used recently and is still warm, the teeth which hold the lid closed do not recede enough to allow the lid to open. I had to return it. I thought it was a one-off issue and considered getting a replacement of the same model, but a quick look at Productreview.com.au showed this model simply has issues.

Good price, but I cannot recommend.

  • I have this kettle running for 3 years now, no issue at all. bought it for 79 from myer

  • Facebook scientist mums buy these because steel is made with chemicals

    • I like glass kettles because they don't get stained, which means less cleaning. But not easy to find a good one.

  • Bought the Aldi one for $29. Also has that Schott glass and 3 year warranty.
