Great machine but not that good of a grinder. It's ok but I think you can get better options like Baratza for under 500.

    • which one do you recommend?

      • If you are with Costco, this one looks interesting:

honestly at 400$ there isn't anything in this market that matches the performance. I don't know much about the grinder itself but WPM has been in the industry for a while just not as much in the australian market.

But based on my limited information, it definitely will outperform the breville smart grinder and if your getting the breville dual boiler by itself, I would actually buy this knowing costco's great return process.

    • Agree. It’s nothing Pro about it

I think that grinder is fine and of a suitable quality for that coffee machine.

FYI, Good Guys are selling just the coffee machine for $1187.00. If you were to use 10% discounted gift cards that would bring it down to $1,068.30.
They have the white version too, whereas Costco only has Stainlees Steel.

    • I bought the white 'sea salt' with 10% cashback from TCB

Sell the grinder on FB marketplace and get a better one.

Big machine - warning if you have limited benchtop space.
The Bambino Plus is friendlier on size, and still makes great coffee!

I got rid of my dual boiler for this exact reason. It's also a very fugly machine, but I'm intrigued by this white version mentioned above…

Edit: just checked it out in white, looks infinitely better.

      • The white does look nice, probably partially because I want to get that white grinder. :D

    • True, but also consider tank and drip tray capacity, if making a few cups a day.

GREAT machine. Decent entry level grinder.

  • Slayer mod it

  • Aside from the dual boiler function, would this and the bambino plus make the same quality espresso?

    • +1

Dual boiler will be more consistent and much better for making back to back coffees. You also won't have to empty the drip tray every two seconds

      • Drip tray isn’t a problem if you just flush it back into a cup or the milk jug

  • You can get this in White from Harvey Norman for $1097 using code trade100.

    • Wouldn't you need an old machine to trade in then?

      • Once you pay and select click and collect I doubt they will ask you for anything once you collect.

  • Does anyone know if it is cheaper instore?
