loveee the skip app, keep up with the discounts!

So much better than that crappy app of HeyYou but HeyYou are good at giving deals all the time :/

      • Found some use for the heyapp also, there is a coffee place near queen street that does $2 coffee permanently.. so it has it's benefits.

        • +1

Yeah that's what I'm saying the deals are good with heyyou but a app is a mess, which makes sense as they seem to recruit mostly overseas mainly in Manila http://heyyou.com.au/careers/

  • THANKS!!!

  • Good price, although shop selection is quite limited. (Town hall Sydney)

    • I’m in Town Hall Sydney myself. The Daily Eatery are available on Skip and make okay large coffee for the $2 price tag.

      • +2

Interesting, I will try that tomorrow.

I was enjoying the $2 coffee at the grounds last week through hey you, fantastic coffee.

        • +1

they call it the grounds cause thats what their coffee tastes like it was scraped together from

        • @furythree:

          R U OK?

    • +10

That's quite expensive for something that taste like instant coffee.

      • -6

You're all wrong, it tastes very good and is consistent.

Edit: made my comment more inclusive

        • +1

I guess the taste of coffee is subjective, however I don't think you are comparing the same things even though both are called "coffee".

        • +2

          No it doesn't.

Your wrong - however the good news is that you now have an unrivaled even unparalleled opportunity to apologize to the community and make it right.

          @kakubin:

bro stfu. The coffee quality IS lower. By ANY metric. The beans aren't at all quality and who knows what's in the milk. 7/11 doesn't pay it's bloody local staff, let alone purchase ethical coffee beans.

As part of an ethical coffee store, the existence of 7/11 coffee is disgusting and I love how Melbournians don't drink it.

          You're wrong

        • +1

I can admit I've had a good coffee or two from 7/11 before. But that's the exception, not the rule.

    • +1

the problem with that is you have to drink 7/11 coffee.

      • -1

Tastes great. You should start drinking it

  • Does skip even operate in Melbourne anymore? It's not showing any venues in Victoria

  • +1

do we need to enter a promo code anywhere?? I can't see anywhere in the app to enter it…

    cheers

    • +1

On the mobile app you chuck it in after you choose your coffee size from your selected cafe.

    • +1

      Yes at checkout

  • +1

do you know how long this is valid for ?

    • Until 6th Nov as per OP?

      • thats good will save me some money on coffees :)

  • doesn't seem to allow for ordering soy milk - other than adding to the comments and then hoping they see it. seems like a fairly large oversight.
    nonetheless, cool deal. thanks.

    • +1

Worked for me when i added the Extra Soy Milk (50c Surcharge).

    • +1

Yep it worked for me too. Added it. Still only $2 after applying the code.

      • oh cool. I only checked one place; maybe it was just the cafe I was looking at - it didn't list it in the options of extras, which is weird because soy flat whites are probably their most ordered coffee haha. thank you, i shall have to check it out :)

  • Nothing close in my suburban coffee sipping suburb.

  • +1

This during exam time is very dangerous

  • Any known expiry on this code?

    • +1

Best guess 6th Nov as stated on the OP?

      • Ahh, completely missed that. Cheers =)

  • Firstly thanks OP.

Where did this deal come from? Where is it posted/advertised?

    Ta,
    Julian

  • +1

    Great post!!
Will definitely be using this 1/11 when my maccas coffees can no longer be used :)

    • +1

Is there some good current mccafe deal? I don't understand you post, I dont mind mccafe and am always looking out for deals

      • Lol no this is maccas we are talking about here…
I'm simply meaning all the monopoly stickers I have, so many coffees and they aren't even (that) good!

  • +3

I like how the location finder on their website doesn't work so that you're forced to download their app.

    • It worked on a computer earlier this morning.

      • Must be mobile compatibility issues.

    • +1

Zomato doesn't let you use their site either on a phone.

      • I just hit "request desktop site" in my mobile browser settings. Fixed.

        • Where can I find that button?

        • +1

@anastasiastarz: Depends what browser you are using. If you use Chrome, just press the 3dot menu up the top right, then "Request desktop site".

  • Can I use for Merlo in Brisbane? Can it be used anywhere in Brisbane for that matter??

no selected stores only - use link above to search your surroundings

yes - i get my coffee from frisky goat ~ works there and works well

  • got my morning cuppa for $2, thanks!

  • I can recommend Double Cross Espresso Bar if anyone is near UTS and is prepping for their exams. It's next to the Central Park mall.

I had the cold press coffee today and it was bloody brilliant, especially on such a warm day.

  • $2 Large Flat White, Bondi Junction. Thanks OP:)

  • +1

Why have they Skipped Adelaide :(

  • Is skip app anything better than hey you app?

    • Different cafes using different apps. I believe many people will hop between the 2 depending on which cafe they are at. One thing worthy to note is that the Hey You app now has a visible "fee" if credits are not topped up in advance. For Skip I believe any fees are absorbed by the cafes and aren't passed to the users but I'd be quite happily corrected if otherwise.

  • Thanks OP,

$2 for my Campos coffee, but only allows you a single $2 coffee per order!

Just means that I have to submit 4 single orders!!!

  • Do we get loyalty stamps on Skip ?

    • Apparently yes. These are shown under the cafe's name in the app!

      • thank you

    • Only at some cafes

  • Thanks for this amazing deal OP. Moving away from 7Eleven coffee to barista coffee for this week!

  • +1

I used this code about 6 times and have been told I can't use it again. Anyone else?

    • There seems to be a limit. I made a new account to try out coupon, still works.

    • I used the code 7 times and am also in this situation

    • +1

Same happened to me. "Like most Dad jokes, that code has been used before".

  • Looks like the code has expired

  • Worked for me this morning but not now.

  • code expired already

  • Tried to use this code this morning on my way to work. Dind't work. Back to 7Eleven coffees now!

    • Another code had been posted.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/339755

      • Yeah I saw that. But that's only a one-time promo code for new customers. Will wait for another code which works for existing customers. But thanks anyway.

  • Thanks OP. It was good while it lasted :)

  • Has anyone checked the charges on their Skip payment mechanism if it was indeed $2? I do not see any $2 coffees in my CC transactions (my card shows me all uncleared transactions as well).
Moreover 2 of my coffees on 30 and 31 Oct have been charged together on 2-Nov (usually separate transactions) and at actual amounts.
I did use the promo code and confirmed that the amount was $2 before I place my order.
Was this targeted coz when I applied the promo code I got a message 'Welcome to the Damon bandwagon' or something like that.

    • Yep, I got the $2 charges as well as emails from Skip with the correct transactions.

      • I dont get emails from Skip for any transaction (let alone for this offer). I use Skip often to fulfil my caffeine cravings.

        • +1

Hmm, I'd email them and ask for a refund of the extra charges. Here's what it says at the bottom of one of the emails I received:

          How Skip charges you…

Please take a minute to learn how we process payment so there are no surprises. We verify your account by processing your first order immediately and then when you reach $10. After that, payment is processed every Thursday or if you reach $35 before then. So you may receive two invoices in a week.

We process payment like this so we can avoid passing on any banking fees to you. If you have any further questions, please email [email protected] and our support team will help you.

    • +1

nothing to worry. they dont like to charge small amounts.. they will charge you on a weekly basis

      • Thanks much stubatman and spk. I will email Skip support to get my invoices and check. Cheers!

        • +1
