$150 off Comprehensive Car Insurance from SGIC (SA)

180
150

Just saw it on TV. Had a quote on my 2014 VW Passat and turn out to cost $530 per year. Not a bad deal.

Fine print **

The offer is only available on a SGIC Comprehensive and Comprehensive Plus Car Insurance policy that has a total premium of more than $150. The $150 online discount comprises the standing $100 online offer + the $50 promotional code offer and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. To get the $150 online discount, the new policy must be started and completed online, and the code referenced above must be applied in the “Promotional Code” field. The online discount applies to: customers paying annually that pay either online or via BPAY only; and customers paying monthly that provide their bank or credit card details during the new business process. South Australian risk addresses only.

Additional excess applies to drivers under 25 or with less than 2 years' driving experience. Cover is subject to standard underwriting guidelines and policy terms.

On agreed value policies, cover is limited to the agreed value. Cars must be roadworthy and registrable.

also works for NRMA (QLD), RACV (Vic), NRMA (NSW) - probably other states -just checked those 3

  • Just wonder how the existing NRMA customers can get this $150 discount?

    • Perhaps you need to pay $150+ to get your $150 "discount".

Cancel you policy and purchase a new one…

  • Oh bugga, I just bought insurance from NRMA yesterday :(

    • cooling period and cancel

      • I must be doing something wrong because I went through the quote, added the promotion code and I'm getting the same quote as yesterday.

        • Are you adding the discount code?

        • @Zak: Absolutely

        • @Ryanek: i did a quote straight from the NRMA site and got a quote for $663. via the above deal link with "150" code and got $441.

both for comprehensive, same excess, same everything.

        • @altomic: Well that's interesting! I'll have to try again.

        • @Ryanek:
          Incognito mode should help.

Edit: Sorry, ignore this. Just saw your comment below

Just spoke to a SGIC rep and since i'm from NSW it forwards me onto the NRMA online quote which does not take into account the code. That means this code only works for SA drivers.

    • Alright, removed "NRMA (QLD), RACV (VIC), NRMA (NSW)" from title unless somebody else can confirm it works for other states

      • sorry.

        • all good, I can't check it myself since it's somehow not finding my rego

  • Thats cheap! do you have the V6?

    • Na.. just the 118TSI wagon :)
