  • Need a deal on jonnie walker black label

    • jonnie walker black label always cheap in duty free. I always go for single malt there.

jonnie walker black label always cheap in duty free.

Cheaper to get them on sale and pay the duty.

Double black is the best. Single malts make my coke taste funny.

Tried green label? For an extra $10ish it's well and truly worth it, and for me is one of the best drops under $100

        • @ebosh:

one of the best drops under $100

can often get double black for < $50

@jv: Huh, fair enough. Shows how long it's been since I looked at prices of anything JW that's not green. Still, if you haven't tried green it's worth a shot

Still, if you haven't tried green it's worth a shot

Maybe when someone shouts me one…

yup, this comment right here sums up Jonnie drinker's… lol

@ebosh: Knocking back one, with a dash of H20, as i type :)

          @McWillisac: enjoy!

@ebosh: have you tried other whiskies? Like actual good ones?

        • +3

@OnlinePred: Yep, but for $65-$70 JW green is good to have on hand for when I don't feel like breaking out my uigeadail, cairdeas, 12 or 16yo Laggy, bruichladdich classic, or the other bottles I've got sitting in my cabinet :)

Have you tried green? Just because it's a blend doesn't make it bad.

        • lol, coke in your single malt, good laugh

        • @ebosh: Jonnie Green is better than Glenfiddich 12 IMO and will save you a few dollars :)

        • @ebosh: I got bowmore 15 1ltr from duty free for $79, that is by far a better drop, even if it was over $100 it would still be worth it.

I started in blends, and moved up to single malts, currently on Islay single malts.

        • @OnlinePred: The best thing about Scotch is that there are so many varieties available that people like you and I will almost always be able to find a good one to fit our taste and budget. Bowmore is nice, but my #1 for under $70 is Arbelour 12yo when it's on sale

In my opinion, JW green is a nice drop and I recommend you give it a try if you haven't already. It is a blend of 15yo single malts, and has a hint of Islay to it so you may even enjoy it ;)

Top whisky at this price, thanks op

  • This stuff is super smooth…almost to smooth.

  • +1

That cheeky $99.99 price so you don't make the free shipping cutoff :(

    • +2

unless you buy by the dozen

    • Absolutely deliberate, and on that basis alone I will not be buying my desired 2 bottles!

  • +2

Back? This whisky have always been at this price at Nick as far as i can remember.

    • +1

You are correct, I've seen this at this price all the time.

  • This is normally like $120 in duty free. I would know cause I bought 2 bottles of it

    • Aren’t duty free bottles generally bigger? Whenever I have purchased from duty free, it’s not about saving money. It’s about getting more for the bucks.

    • -1

JR duty free has 20% off online so it is $100.

  • This is a standard sale price for Nicks.
I have been able to price beat this at Dan's previously (i.e no need for shipping)

    • Yea, some DM definitely price match but I believe it depends on the guy in DM. Ive got mine refused once, but went in couple of days later and got it.
