80

Theres an offer going around with the NAB low rate visa card at the moment.

Basically Pay no interest on purchases until 1 July next year. With no annual card fee for the first year. You can also take across existing credit card debt at a rate of 4.99% - though theres better cards out there if you just want a balance transfer….

After the interest free period/first year the terms are

Annual fee of $49.00
Purchase1: 13.49% p.a.
Cash advance1: 21.74% p.a.

Theres more info here

http://www.nab.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/nab/nab/home/personal_…

Its basically the NABs no frill card for those who dont purchas enough to warrant the bother of a rewards scheme.

Could be handy for those looking to buy new furniture / computer / golf clubs or whatever - just to take advantage of the interest free period. After that your free to swap to another card with another bank or whatever you want to do.

You might want to change the date in the title to 1/7/11

    • damn quick off the blocks haha :)

      • wooooops

this is what i get when i dont drink my usual buckets worth of coffee in the morning.

  • Might want to change "til 1/7/10"

    to

    "til 1/7/11"

otherwise it looks like its already expired.

  • this one has no rewads ie you can link it to flybuys does it? the annual fee is a killer for the deal for me but perhaps nab will agree to waive it for life next year . if anyone manages to get the annaul fee waived for life upon sign up let me know? btw the nab visa mini at 19$/yr and 0.5% cash back is a better card i think

    • They dont seem to be offering the nab visa mini any more - the posts more about the interest free period…

  • Has anyone tried more than one balance transfer (ie move bank then move again)? I've always wondered about the possbilities of constructing a few years worth of interest free (or very low interest) by bouncing around the banks abusing these signup deals. Would make a nice change from them screwing us.

  • Apparently there is a nab Platinum card (not linked to Qantas) but there's no details on the web. Anyone knows anything about this?

  • Nice. Might apply and try get a good limit, load it up with the monthly expenses and leave the cash in the mortgage offset till end of June. Rough calculations I'd probably save ~$400 in interest :)
