So does this code stack… asking for a friend

So does this code stack….. asking for research purposes

      • +37

So does this code stack… asking for myself coz I’m a pig and may end up with my Stan paid for, for the next 8 years

        • Lol mc d will plus your waist line and I'll plus your comment.

        • Do the burgers stack ?
Im asking fot my fat friend. His name is ozzpete

    • +2

Send them to me and I'll check, thanks.

      • I attempted to send him , but unfortunately he couldnt fit through the door at post office 😔

    • +9

Can confirm the calories definitely stack

  • -2

If someone gets one of these and doesn’t need it. Can you please PM it to me?
My kids have been nagging me for ages.

    • +51

You’re not gonna believe it but if u buy the family box at McDonald’s you’ll get two months free access…

      • +2

I am trying to not find excuses to eat Maccas. Buying the family box just for this seems a waste.

        • +21

Stan has a 30-day free trial promo, no Maccas purchase required. then $10/month afterwards, cheaper than Maccas.

        • @malouphix:
          Cool. Thanks.

        • Yeah but no Maccas. And is the Family Box really more than $20?

        • +1

          @malouphix:

But now….if the code stacks, you can get 30 days free trial, plus 2 months free and did I not say food. FOOD. Actually, it is maccas but still get something 1+

          hehe

        • @Tech1s:
Yes, we need to know if this 'stacks' onto the existing 30day trial which is offered without any code.
I doubt it does though, because once you sign up for 30 day free trial, i would think they would then consider you an 'existing customer' .
2 months instead of 1 month is still good. But remember your only getting 1 month extra (better than no months extra tho)

    • +2

I used to eat maccas when I was younger but the idea of a family sitting down to eat maccas is so foreign to me. Usually by the time someone is old enough to have kids they've worked out it is crap food. My parents wouldn't have taken me to maccas and I will never take my kids.

Anyway, why not just pay for Stan if the kids are nagging you?

      • +1

It’s the most successful and popularity family restaurant in the world. Clearly many people will disagree with you.

        • +7

well world popularity isnt always a good measure, more people on this planet think marrying under age girls is perfectly fine for example.

        • +2

Popularity rarely has anything to do with something being good. If you look at all the best selling movies of all time it is crap like jurrasic park and batman that sell the most tickets. Classics like pulp fiction are much lower.

        • +2

          @MikeKulls:
lol what? Jurassic Park is one of the most highly rated movies ever.

        • @videoman: most highly sold movies of all time, not the most highly rated.

      • +1

One of McDonald's core marketing aims is to hook people when they're under the age of eight years. This means they have a high chance of becoming unquestioning lifelong consumers of McDonald's products.

Another of McDonald's marketing aims is to have people eat as much as possible.

The effect of these two things is higher rates of early death in the children that McDonald's hooked.

        • +2

I consider McDonalds to be a public toilet. If I'm driving around looking for a loo and I see the golden arches then I've found one.

        • +2

You forgot to mention their tactic of having more stores located in impoverished areas…the people don't know any better and I'm sure they think its great having a McDonalds every couple of km's

      • +5

As a kid I only ever got to eat maccas on long road trips if there wasn’t anything else available. As an adult, I would much rather eat at maccas than a hatted restaurant, even if i didn’t have to pay. I would go as far as to say I enjoy dining at maccas out of a paper bag more than any other type of cuisine or forms of dining. There’s something satisfying about maccas that no other fast food joint offers; when I see the Golden Arches my soul is uplifted.

        • -2

You'd rather eat at MC Chuck's than a hatted restaurant, right. Not sure if you are trolling.

        • +2

          niggard please.

      • Yeah everyone goes to KFC for dinner now not Maccas..

      • -1

I agree, is is fairly crap food, but thats subjective. Its actually not too bad (tastewise) .
Compared to the best local burger places (which i have a choice of over 100 burger places nearby) . Compared the best local burger places, all the franchise chains are crap.
However, with 2 months free stan, the family pack is kind of free (if you value the stan at $20) .
Definitely true, that as we get older, we realise maccaz is crap food (compared to better places) . Idk why kids think its so great, probably the playground, the clown, and the free toys

        • Taste wise it is passable if you are in a hurry but there are so many better options that are so much more interesting. Food courts you can get food from all over the world but people are lined up for a crappy unimaginative hamburger.

    • +3

I might have one, receipt is in the car. I'll check for you tomorrow.

      • -4

good stuff compacc - pass em on guys (to peeps like me who don't eat Maccas)

        • why do I get a neg vote for that?

        • -1

@barbarella: read my name then you'll understand.

        • +1

@GozeGreedyGews: I'm just trying to be less wasteful - may as well use those codes instead of them going in the bin *sigh

      • Appreciated compacc

    • *negging

  • +2

T&C point number 19 confirms not stackable. I’ll Save you the click

    1. There is a limit of one Promotion Offer per Eligible Customer.
    • +4

Can't you just buy 24 family boxes, and then just make a new Stan account every two months for the next four years?

      • Haha sounds great except the codes may expire after 3 months or so

      • You can only do it with a separate email AND separate Credit Card.

      • Possibly .. or maybe you have 24 seperate families, and save on xmas presents . Give them 1 subscription and a family 'night out' at maccas each

  • +1

    Amex — 3 month free
    MC — 2 month free..

Last company who likes doing this has already bankrupt…

    • +3

Mastercard 2 months free STAN how ?

  • I prefer Presto.

  • How can you guys even stream these shows at 1080p? My internet is from Optus NBN and it's (profanity) so slow.

    • +2

Don't go with Optus. problem solved.

    • +1

IINET streams 1080p Netflix just fine (FTTP NBN, max speed). I only watch old 90s shows on Stan which are mostly SD, so I can't comment on that.

      • Thanks man! I'll start looking around. I've heard the IINET is really slow during the afternoon? Can you comment on that or have you experienced it first hand?

        • +1

Slowness is so rare that I don't really remember when it happens. This is probably the same for all NBN users in my area no matter the ISP. Everything is brand new.

    • +3

I trust as you sit there not using the internet you will take a moment to realise that the reason for this is Malcom Turnbull considers enriching Telstra a better activity than providing much of Australia, including yourself, with working internet.

I trust that you will remember this at the next election.

      • Anyway I can read more on this? Don't really know where to start off. I don't really watch TV and don't go browsing websites that have news bc they usually talk about donald trump and or the K family which idaf about.

  • Oh man I purchased a family bix today and threw the receipt

Now I’m kicking myself for not seeing this earlier

  • +2

Hmm… So I’ll buy a family box and use my 25% off discount from the Maccas App and get 2 months free Stan, but I have Netflix tho..
    Decisions decisions ha

    • +2

I think they have removed the family box from the app, normally use the 25% off for it and noticed it's gone.

      • +1

Yeah I noticed that too. I wanted to buy it this weekend for our family :(

I might have to head in store to see if they still sell it since it is available on the menu on the website.

      • +3

You can use the voucher in-store though.

        • +1

          I did not know this,how?

      • +1

It works on the self service kiosks

  • -1

Not impressed with Stan. Poor selection of shows. Chews through my data. It used 3G to stream one movie! Going back to netflix and wish i didn't bother getting the amex trial.

    • +1

Sure blame Stan for using 3G….

    • +1

It's not a specific apps fault you didn't setup your internet correctly.

      • Any advice on reducing data usage while streaming stan on mobile app? In settings i made sure it was on their "quick and dirty" settings but still used up heaps of data compared to netflix app.

    • +1

I agree, with netfix vs Stan on 3g network.
Stan stutters and freezes quite alot, netflix is much better with slow/unreliable internet. I think netflix is much better at shaping the data/video sent and seems to go quite far ahead in preloading the video stream .
I can disconnect internet connection for over a minute and netflix keeps playing.
Foxtell play, and Stan, both fail in this circumstance.
Im on the old $2 per day optus plan, unlimited data/calls/text. They only allow 3g, and the streaming of netfix works very very well, i must say.

  • -1

Macca's smells so foul, I would rather just pay for Stan

  • Free, and I'm still searching for a reason to get it. Netflix, FTA & personal collections isn't enough for people?

Competition is crucial. But like the Steam platform, i feel Netflix does everything i want, perfectly.

    • Stan has way more content than you would expect. A lot of it is hidden really well due to the poor UI.

  • When is the expiry date of the voucher code?

    • +1

This Promotion Offer must be redeemed in accordance with paragraph 10 no later than seven (7) days from the date of the Receipt. (para.11 Ts & Cs)

  • +2

here you go people JLJKPMVVQHXQVFKGGP 7 days to use, doesnt work with existing customers.

    • Thanks mate!

    • at last!…a generous, sharing OBer :)

  • -1

  • I have a code if anyone wants to try not sure if its more then 7 days old…

    • Still got it?

      • Expires after 7 days

  • +1

If you've already used the 30 day Stan trial before you'll need a new or different credit card to use this. It won't let you use one you've used previously. Bastards.

  • Anyone got one? PM me

  • anyone got a spare, PM me pls
