      I'd say at least 90% of Xiaomi products aren't made by Xiaomi. They invest in companies, allow them to sell their products through Xiaomi channels and occasionally incorporate them into the app ecosystem.

      Soocas and Yeelight for example are separate companies with Xiaomi backing and both are incorporated into the app ecosystem. Yi Technology previously received funding from Xiaomi, but their latest products are not in the Mi App ecosystem.

    These are cheap for what they are… but what they are (this sort of flossing device) is generally not very good for the task of flossing.

    Proper flossing technique is more important for preventing tooth cavities than brushing your teeth. But most people just push the floss in and out (which this device encourages)… meaning what they're doing is only marginally better than not flossing at all.
