The B350 and the RAM are overpriced, and unless you desperately want FreeSync, the RX 570 is overpriced compared to a GTX 1060 6GB model.

Everything is overpriced on these parts. At the end of the day you are at least getting 10% off. Overall price just might be 8-10% off.

Oh I'm referring to the price after the discount. I know it's not a full 20% off compared to everywhere else, but the B350, RAM & RX570 are not value buys compared to market prices.

  • There's only 1 Toughpower PSU in stock.

  • Any good deals on 8GB ( 2X4GB) DDR4 2400 Mhz Desktop RAM ? Can't find a nice deal

    No deal

  • Pretty good. Careful that the MSI motherboards only have 4 satas.

Built one recently so used a Gigabyte instead when I realised.

    • Careful that the MSI motherboards only have 4 satas.

Why are you proclaiming MSI motgherboards only have 4 SATAs?

  • Can recommend freesync and AMD 480/580. Haven't used 570 so can't say.
Also the AMDs use Vulcan. Great on Doom for example.

Alternatively you could get this for $1200

    Dell Ryzen 5 1600x + RX 470 4gb + 8gb 2400mhz + 128gb m.2 ssd + 1tb hdd

Better processor, same graphics card, less ram (but easily upgradable). Smaller SSD but it's an m.2 one which is nice to have

    • This deal is ok as well, that processor is only 10% more efficient though..but here you get more RAM, larger SSD, better power supply for $34 more..and you get challenge to assemble for yourself…:)

    • Plus you have the opportunity to over clock all these parts. CPU,ram, gpu for extra performance gains.

  • What about this board instead?
Seems to be pretty good in reviews so far.
    Soo many choices!

Shame Computer Alliance do not do click and collect. It is only 2mins from my place.

i can build a second hand pc for 500 dollars that will outperform this overpriced monstrosity.

    • I would like to know how..i will buy it off you.

  • Hey guys .. im planning to buy this used gaming pc , the seller said its been with him for few months only

What do you guys think about the specs ? I havent used pc for 10 years so i dont really know

    THANK YOU
    .

    • Bro the CPU is like 8 generations old. It was released in 2009.

He might only have had it for a few months, but someone else has had it for 8 years before him.

      Edit: it's worth $2-300 at a stretch

      • I see .. thanks for letting me know … i really have no idea about desktop pc … haha … the seller trying to sell it for $780 as well .. down from $999 😪

        • if you're willing to spend $780 on a gaming desktop, you may as well buy a brand new one, out of new parts. Add another $200 dollars to your budget and you can spec out a pretty good Ryzen 3 + GTX 1060 based system

        • @scrimshaw: cheers
