    Min 6 months before you get the points

    I'm already at $600 gift cards since July for switching between PHI so this Medibank isn't such a great deal

    If you switch health insurer because of points you are a complete idiot. Medibank dropped drastically in terms of customer satisfaction after the sale. If you want health insurance that actually looks after you, don't do it.

    PLEASE DON'T BE AN IDIOT AND SWITCH HEALTH INSURANCE FOR FLYBUYS POINTS OR LOUSY GIFT CARDS

    Health funds are very different and some such as NIB are totally useless and may leave you thousands of dollars out of pocket if something happens.

    There is no such thing as a best fund. Some generally offer better value but hugely dependent on individual circumstances (for ME BUPA and HCF offer the best cover for price).

    Bottom line: Your health is far more important than fly-buys points or gift cards. Don't fall for the marketing spin - do your homework carefully and pick the best fund for your health needs
