Ah great, I can finally complete my "guy who overtakes you in his lifted Hilux with Eureka Stockade flag sticker, on double white lines when you're not even speeding" look.

Good deal tho, they make decent quality sunnies.

    • +2

Oiiii m8 i don't drive like that and i got sunnies like this lol

Plus I'd never buy a Hilux!

      • +1

Same. Only sort of frame that suits my head!

Get them from VisionDirect if you have a prescription and health insurance

        • Do you have to have a prescription lens to claim on health fund ? I know oakley prescription glasses are very expensive !

        • @glenn:
Yes. They don’t use Oakley lenses so it’s cheaper.

        • +1

Thats great ? Thanks for the info !

    • +1

only if you wear them backwards on your neck

    • +1

      Aren't you thinking of these?

OP's deal are more like Frogskin/Wayfarer kind of style.

      • Your ones if they are over 35. OP's ones if they are under 35.

  • These, or the Ray-Ban Wayfarer with the 30% discount, which are $185, and with the discount = $129.5? About $40 difference, but the Wayfarer looks better. Hmm! Decisions!

Do you want to be a trendy hipster or an overweight wannabe surfer?

      • -2

Neither, thanks to product review. https://www.productreview.com.au/p/wiggle-com-au.html

        • +2

I wouldn't really rely on that website for a proper review, there are significantly more negative reviews on any item than positive, so everything is always skewed. But, your money.

        • You've already mentioned this and people have already replied that they are fine.

        • @PVA: Thanks for your insightful comment. I was waiting for it.

        • 2.5 on productreview is actually pretty good by the looks of things…

    • Where is the Rayban deal? I have been looking for a pair with a decent price for a while.

      • From this Sunglass Hut deal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/340530
Expires in two days so you better be quick.

        • Thanks, was just about to reply saying that the Iconic also has their 30% off deal where I just bought them for $124ish

        • @Madburgo: No worries. Enjoy. :)

Edit: Also, the Sunglass Hut deal comes with extra 10% off Cash rewards too. Not sure if the Iconic has that as well.

    • whats the link to the wayfarers?

Never heard of Wiggle? (probably just my ignorance), but make sure they are legit. I bought a pair of Oakleys for around $160 last year from a reputable seller on ebay. Got in contact with Oakley Australia. They said it was one of the best fakes they have seen to date, but they were indeed fake. Got a refund no issue.

P.S. the OO9102-01 refers to the style, frame colour, frame texture and lense colour.

These should be Matt Black frames with grey lenses. If they are gloss black

    • +6

Wiggle will most definitely sell legit oakleys. No worries there.

    • +8

Wiggle are probably more reputable than any sporting chain in Australia

    • I agree with davowades comment regarding authenticity but given the increase of really good fakes, i doubt I'll buy glasses from expensive brands going forward also.

My last pair of Oakley's lasted me close to 8 years before replacing the lenses and almost 11 before the frames started peeling. Wouldn't hesitate buying these if I wasn't happy with the cheap pair I just recently bought.

    • I've bought a sh*t tonne of bike stuff from Wiggle before, they're definitely fine. They mainly sell bike and running stuff and are based in the UK.

  • -7

The reviews are generally worrisome. Will miss this one. https://www.productreview.com.au/p/wiggle-com-au.html

    • I buy heaps of bike gear from them never an issue. With saying that i have never had to return any thing.

      • -5

Lucky you. I am glad you've had an amazing experience with them. As you can see in the review comments there, there are some people who have had similar positive experiences with this business too, but the negative ones outweigh the positive ones, unfortunately. I don't wanna take the risk of going back and forth with an online seller. It's bloody exhausting and stressful. Been there, done that.

    • +9

Very rarely do people make the effort to go online to post postive reviews. I've spent thousands over the years with the likes of Wiggle, Chain Reaction Cycles, Merlin, Ribble, Bike24.

      Never an issue, especially Wiggle.

    • +1

as has been said, wiggle is absolutely reputable. if you ever have an issue they will absolutely resolve it. think i had one minor issue with shipping years ago and they resolved it by giving me more credit than the item was worth.

productreview.com.au generally excretes on everyone. take it with a grain of salt.

    • I have bought tonnes of stuff from Wiggle and Chain Reaction.

I can report for a fact that Wiggle UK (yes I confirm my stuff comes via Royal Mail) deliver faster than my local purchases from Reid Cycles and Velogear.

  • Wiggle for over thousands of dollars in bike gear.
    No issues.
One of the biggest if not the biggest bicycle online store.
Think of it as Rebels Sport but bigger.
    Doubt they'll sell any counterfeits.

  • +6

    Not polarised :/

  • I actually have these sunnies. Very comfortable, don't go anywhere without them.

I've a pretty large head and these fit perfectly.

    • pretty large head

Good to hear! I have a tough time, most are too tight…

  • Oakley Holbrook Prizm is better, http://www.wiggle.com.au/oakley-holbrook-prizm-black/
    these Prizm costs $151.77

    • +1

Prizm lenses are amazing…. I have a pair and they are a decent step up from oakley polarized… the colours are brighter and less glare… imho…

  • +1

Good price, but compared to some of the good Chinese brands like Merrys (under 10 a pair, good build and polarised) I find it hard to justify more than $30 on a pair of sunnies (I know I'll lose or break them)

    • +2

Have you got link to websites where you buy them from?

    • @blighst where did you buy Merrys from? AliExpress?

      • Yeah bought from their official store on Ali

  • +2

Surprised non-polarised sunglasses aren’t illegal in Aus given our over protective laws. Personally I would never wear sunglasses that aren’t polarised.

    • +1

I guess you find this deal a little bit O-O-\ polarizing…

  • does anyone know when this promo will end? still gotta wait for Wednesday for payday

  • Bugger. I bought these with prescription lenses and paid $180 for the frames. Plus the lenses…

  • bargain, thanks OP. Needed a new set of Holbrooks.

  • Yeah but they are Oakleys :/

  • I have these from wiggle and they are fine.
But the first time i dropped it, it landed on the lens and left marks on the lens which i can see when im wearing.
My glassed lens serengeti and ray bans have been dropped heaps without issues like that.
So now id rather pay the extra for glass lenses, which are also more clear than polycarbonate.
but for $88, its a great price (and personal opinion, i think they look great)
