Yeah! Been waiting for this one. Need absolutely nothing from Spotlight, but in true ozb spirit I will spend $100 to save $40!

    • +1

I usually look for reduced king bed sheets :) last time I got 10 black flat sheets $5ea clearance some kitchen stuff and towels. Cost $60 :) I was very happy.

  • Is the code member-specific or a generic code? How else can you find it if you didn't receive a catalogue?

    • +1

Every other time they've run this type of promo the code has been generic (despite it looking otherwise).

    • +2

The code is always generic. You will get it by email on the 15th Nov if you're a Spotlight VIP and you have your email registered to receive communications. I will upload a digital copy here tomorrow. You should be able to present this on your phone in-store (however, some people have had trouble redeeming it this way in the past as staff may say that you need the physical voucher, but just argue that you received in through email and you should be fine).

      • Eagerly waiting for your upload of the digital voucher =D

        • +3

          Here is the digital voucher
          Happy buying!

        • @foyya: Thank you very much! OP should add this link to the post for others to see

  • Weekly??
    Thanks for sharing

  • Was just going past spotlight today and thought of tjis offer and here it is lol

Crud, need to hand in my ozbargain license. Just bought stuff on the weekend.

    • Or…return that stuff and buy it again on this deal, then buy more stuff you don't need with the 40 bux you saved to upgrade your membership to platinum status

  • This is definitely a spotlight deal

  • +1

I received my catalogue today too.

A good deal deal - I have a few things I need to buy there.

But note some of the other exclusions in addition to the ones shown above:

Home electrical appliances, Sewing machines, overclockers, 48 hour super deals and "new lower price product" - whatever that means.

  • didnt get the catalogue but I am member, how do I get this voucher print?

    • If you visit the Spotlight website you can update your membership preferences to receive mail/email notifications. However, if you do this after the beginning of the sale (15th Nov), you may not receive it. But they do this sale once or twice a year so its worth updating your subscription now. Spotlight doesn't send all that many emails, maybe one a fortnight when new sales commence.

      • I am a VIP member, and have updated my preference email notification thing months ago, and still didn't get the email.

        • Do you get emails at all from Spotlight or just not this particular one?

        • +2

Either way, here's some things to check to make sure you're getting them in the future. When you log in to the Spotlight website and go to edit your personal details, make sure that for 'My contact preferences' you have ticked the box for email AND that below for 'preferred method of contact' that you have chosen email from the drop down list. And, of course, make sure that the email you have provided is correct!
Hope this helps you and others.

        • @foyya: Hi foyya. Thanks for the detailed answer. I might probably have messed things up the last time I updated my details on my account as I only had the 'preferred method of contact' box checked and not 'My contact preferences'. I've just realized I didn't receive any emails from Spotlight for almost two months. I have fixed it now, and have also got a $10 coupon for a minimum $50 spent as well. That will be useful in the near future after this deal (and hoping they won't deny me using the 40% off of the $100 since I have only updated my account after the deal started). Ta

  • really want to use this for beach towels, how can this be used ? online ? in store ? im lost on this one…

    • Yep … same question … can you use this online?

I would say store only … as the promo code entry is alphanumeric (and the code is a number only) - not sure!

"Promo Codes may be provided to you via our catalogue, mail, email or on advertisements. They are used to activate discounts and/or special offers on our website.
Promo codes are alpha numeric and must be entered exactly as printed to validate them. A maximum of one promo code may be applied to any order."

      • For the last few years at least, this sale has always been for both in-store and online. I will try to upload a digital voucher here tomorrow for those of you who want to use it in-store.

        • Haha … the price of the fabric I wanted to buy went up by the 40% … same thing today just that I will struggle to find the voucher (stupid me opted out of emails) … so any uploaded voucher code would be much appreciated

        • @mini_wombat: Update: the voucher which is uploaded to the deal was working for me in the shop :-) (And now I got it in the post too :-).

  • If I sign up to become a member now will I still be able to get this voucher?

    • A tentative yes on this one. You need to be registered before the sale starts but not certain on how long registration takes. Good luck!

    • If doing in store, yes. I made my partner signup today and he got the discount.

  • ok so is a code being provided for online use or not ?

    • yes, it is at the top of this post and it is 9341222534982.

  • I tried the code, no good for online. What is the code for online? thanks

    • It worked for me.

    • Make sure your purchase is exactly $100 or over, that you don't have any items that are excluded (e.g. home electrical appliances, etc) and that you are logged in as a VIP. Hope that helps!

  • Can this stack with the Brother sewing machine (if other purchases are made to push it over $100)?

  • you may want to put a link to the actual online store

  • +1

Damn - spent over $200 there on the weekend.

Oh well, wife will just use this as an excuse to buy more :/

    • +1

      return and start over

  • +1

Just curious though what do everyone buy with $100?

    • +1

Homestuff, curtains, kitchen stuff, lunch boxes, bedding, blankets, towels.

U can get bargainception if the timing is right.
I bought a $200 rug for $60 last year using this code and another promotion was running at the same time

  • Fantastic deal, lots of sales already on the website plus this $40 off over $100 and free delivery over $100 also.

  • does anyone know where they ship the products from? do they ship from a warehouse or from nearby/same state stores?
because I did bought a sewing machine online, and I'm afraid that I won't receive it in time before I leave for overseas in 10 days.

    • They ship from the closest stores that have stock. If the sewing machine is in high demand (sometimes that happens with this sale), shipping may be delayed but otherwise it's sent through Aus Post so regular delivery times for your area apply.

      • thanks! i decided to cancel the order and just got one in store to avoid the risk.

  • finally worked. great deal thanks

  • Spotlight have plenty of costumes good for xmas parties / future Halloweens etc
The Disney/Marvel ones are more pricey, but look good.
I spent a similar voucher on 2 costumes last year

    https://www.spotlightstores.com/party/costumes-accessories/c…

  • Can anyone purchase sewing machine with coupon? Thanks.

    • It's excluded in the terms and conditions but this is the first time that it has been. So, some staff may not know this new change if they don't read the t&cs themselves. So you may get lucky if you go in store. This is one of the few times that incompetence pays off!

    • I tried to but the sales assistant at Fountain Gate knew that sewing machines are excluded. I told him that the code works online for sewing machines though but he wouldn't do it at the register. So I just bought my sewing machine online, got $40 off, and paid the $8.99 delivery fee.

      • Seems I could have free delivery last night?

        • Was free shipping part of the Black Friday sale? I bought mine last week and just missed out on the free shipping over $100 deal so I paid $8.99. I was shattered.
