God dam this made me laugh

    • more like scottish

    • I have spent all day at work doing Layouts for brochures. You would think would have spotted that. Any way thenk you for noticing my spilling mistake.

      • +3

Enjoy your day! No need to thenk me! :P

Not bad for the price - but poor peak brightness (280Cmd) contrast (1200:1) and reports of high input lag for gaming put me off somewhat.

  • This seems so cheap, it's gonna look like junk, right?

    • It literally will in 6 months when it's sitting on your nature strip.

    How this compared with https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-wed-15-…

Was looking at camping out for the aldi one haha

    • -1

The main difference clearly is that someone will bring this one to your door. Win!

      • -1

hahah, I meaning Like Quality but im guessing its almost the same TV

    • see this one you can actually buy, aldi you need to fight for.

    • I've still got the 55 inch version from 2016. It still going well the first day I had it I noticed 1 dead pixel took it back and they returned it no questions or testing. and I haven't had any issues since . Great tv once you calibrate it and speakers are decent . I'll be purchasing the 65 inch when it comes out for Christmas and put this in the bedroom. Aldi are pretty good with warranty and it is 1 year warranty .

So you have the aldi one or Kogan ?

      • Aldi are pretty good with warranty and it is 1 year warranty .

yep - my one just died after 10 months.
they tried repairing it for free (i had to dropoff to the local repair centre)

they couldnt so I got full refund.

now buying this kogan one to try my luck.
apparently the kogan one has the same warranty policy (refund if cant repair)

        • I do like the option of the extended Kogan warranty, but what that covers is another story

  • I have the Curved version of this (possiblyone model down). The quality is quite good (for me personally) and the price speaks for itself.

    • Do you get much out of the curve?

      • Don't even notice it. Only got the curved cos it was the only one on special at that time.

  • Tempting. I'm doing my best to hold out for HDR at around this price, but it's a struggle.

    • My mate was playing a HDR game on an older flagship Sony TV. Maybe because it was older HDR, or maybe because the panel itself is good…but i didn't really notice much of a difference. Worth checking out HDR for yourself if you haven't already to see what you think.

I have had this tv for about a month and it's great for the price. I'm sure compared to a higher end brand name you will notice difference. It was a big jump in picture quality for me going from a 10-15 year old plasma tv lol.

I play xbox on it and runs good. Not sure what people mean by input lag though but play FIFA 18 and NBA 2k18 with no issues.

I'm intrigued to see how to tv holds up after a year or so

  • How come they can ship these but the free shipping deal from last month won't ship until the 29th? :(

(not complaining, I'm not in a rush)

  • Did they remove HDMI ARC feature? No use if its missing…
EDIT -Sorry my bad- It has ARC
    Inputs

    Antenna In 1
    Audio 1
    Component (YPbPr) 1
    Composite (AV) 1
    HDMI 4 x HDMI2.0 (1 x ARC)

    • It might have arc but Kogan tv's have arc issues going back years……. whose to say these are any better than the faulty 8000 series?

  • how is postage to sydney?

How does the smart TV one compare? Specs look better on the smart TV?

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-55-agora-smart-4k-led-tv-…

    • Seconded. I think main difference is the Smart TV is pre-order, only shipping from December I think, but otherwise yes - specs much better on the Smart TV compared to this one, at the exact same price.

  • Anyone know of any deals that are about the 40" size?

    • +1

Could be a few deals tonightr with 'click frenzy'.

  • What ever you do strongly suggest you dont buy Kogan tv, just read the reviews on https://www.productreview.com.au/r/kogan-4k-led-tv-ultra-hd/…

Absolute rubbish tv's with manyy customers having woefull "customer no support" when things go wrong when under warranty.

Buy anything else or pay just a little bit more for a basic model 4k tv from Hisense with a solid three year warranty.

has the deal expired? I see 629$

  • looking at the 55" agora smart tv too for $499 but just worries about the upscaling required for 1080p as most of the content i watch is in 1080p

I looked for a 55" FHD instead hoping to find it for cheaper that the $499 but could only find smaller models or more expensive than $499

has anyone had experience with the 55" agora smart tv series 8 to advise on the upscaling quality of 1080p content?
    i'm currently using a commercial monitor 43" LG 1080p

  • Question, has anyone used one of these for xbox one gaming ?
I currently have 50" Sony FHD screen hooked with my xbox one, was thiking to make a separate entertainment room
