Can confirm, ausluck are good to buy from, i got aussie stock from them.

    • I got my iPhone 7 Plus from them.

      • I got my Iphone 8 Plus Gold 64gb from them. Express postage! Great seller.

  • Good deal but its ip8

  • Do you have a legitimate source on the 'common problem' of upgrading to iOS11 on iPhone 6/6s?

This is the first I'm hearing about it and I'm pretty sceptical about your claims.

Edit: Not that this isn't a good deal just that I think you need evidence for claims like that.

Upgrading older iPhones to latest iOS often slows them down. Check macrumors forums

      • +3

Well yes, updating an OS will sometimes slow down anything but to say it 'destroys' it is another thing entirely.

        • +6

Probably just a lot of anecdotal references. Personally upgrading my ip6+ to IOS 11 screwed the battery life and slowed it down immensely. The response time was akin to surfing the modern day web page on GPRS

        • Ok that's fair enough, I had no idea it was affecting people's battery life. And I do understand that's tough to deal with because it's more than likely out of warranty. I wasn't disputing anything, just asking for more information. Guess I'm just one of the lucky ones.

@nuts: The same happened to my gf's 6s. Battery issues, random resets and earphone problems.

        • @KLoNe: agreed, missus ip6s+ speaker started dying, battery drains. It is already known updating to current iOS ruins your phone and those defending it's not true are complete sheep

          @Apocsky:
In fairness, many iPhone 6 will be experiencing battery failure simply due to their age.
I needed to replace my 6 battery before the update came out.
I've since updated without noticing any issues.
It was about $120 from memory and money I considered well spent. as having to recharge my phone twice a day was driving me nuts (or at least nuttier than usual)

        • @Rifraf: I might have to do that. Put it on Google maps for a 1-hour drive and the battery drained from 98% to 35% within 45 minutes and became "too hot to use" even though it wasn't under sunlight.

        • @Apocsky: Yes my iphone 6 keeps heating up up for no reason and the battery life don't even ask it drops like 1% a minute when using it. Its actually getting to be unusable. So I have to agree IOS11 has aged the phone tremendously :(

      • I havent seen any issue with my 5s since upgrade

    • I can confirm my iPhone 6 is very laggy with iOS11, but it is still usable if you don't mind waiting several seconds for apps to open.

    • The problem that 'destroyed' (exaggeration haha) my girlfriend's iPhone was her touch screen stopped working. It would not respond to her hours at a time; they even put an update that 'fixed' the bug but it remained just as bad.
After googling the problem a lot of people had the same issues, and Apple prevented you from downgrading back to ios10 so she's stuck with a phone that only works sporadically

      • +2

I'm pretty sure something can be done about that. The phone is no longer able to function as a phone, if Apple won't deal with it then I'm sure The ACCC will.

      • +1

Also, if iOS11.1 didn't fix the problem then maybe she can still downgrade but you might've tried this already so obviously take this with a grain of salt,

        http://osxdaily.com/2017/09/20/downgrade-ios-11-to-ios-10-ip…

edit: apologies, read a bit more about it and it seems like downgrading is pretty improbable as you said.

        • Yea it bloody sucks, up to a certain date you can downgrade back to iOS 10.3., but after Apple themselves get rid of the certificate that lets you do this (??? Forgot exactly the reason)
ACCC seems like a good idea, the update description claims that only iPhones that had screens replaced by third parties were affected but she never had hers fixed

        • @ericshurn: ACCC for sure.

        • @ericshurn:
Same issue happened to my 5 couple years ago with an update, Apple wouldn’t do anything about it since the phone was 3 years old. I pulled the ACCC card and had to speak with Apple contact centre before they would replace it.

So yeah, mention of ACCC should help.

  • i bought from aus luck for iPad pro previously, reliable and aus stock :)

my iPhone 5s died too after i accidentally upgraded iOS :(

  • Any iPhone 8 plus deals?

    • +2

      8plus 256G after discount is 1295

  • Does "MQ7G2X/A" imply Aussie stock?

    • +1

Not sure, but their description says it is all Aussie stock

  • Is there anyway to forever stop Apple asking me to upgrade the software on the IP6? I get a notice every few days.

  • Will next year's model be called iPhone 9 and XI? Or 8S and XS?

What happens the year after? Will it be iPhone 10 or will the arabic numerals series skip the 10? Eventually they will catch up with the roman numerals series and cause confusion.

    • The Xmodel only came to be because it’s the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone. Pretty sure that it will go back to the normal naming model. But unsure as to if it will be the 8s or go to the 9. With the success of the X model they may keep a flagship line each year who knows at this point. The accounting department hasn’t told them how much money they need to make on next years line up yet.

      • There's going to have to be two separate lines maintained. The OLED and the classic look. I doubt they'll discontinue the X.

But if they call them XI and 9, you'll eventually run into problems with nomenclature. Google searches use arabit and roman numerals interchangeably. And since X is pronounced 10, it will be confusing when spoken.

  • No iphone 8 64GBs for good price?
