      There's not enough VR titles to bring your PS4 back to life. I hear the Skyrim implementation is kinda poor and the other games are all gimmicks or tech demos so I dunno.

    First skyrim VR impression on whirlpool:

    Played about 30 mins of Skyrim over lunchtime…. not feeling good about this purchase at all. Looks very muddy and poor (playing on pro) but the biggest problem is the controls, virtually unplayable with Move controllers imho. I have teleportation turned off (obviously), however I can't find any setting for smooth movement, the side to side rotation/movement is stepped and horrible. I have played 100+ hours of skyrim and I remember how much horrible inventory/menu management goes on in the game and I cannot fathom doing that with the clunky move controllers. I will pay around more when I get home to see if I can find better settings but at this stage I will buy it on the switch as I think I would get more out of a portable version. Disappointed.

    Missed out on the Gamesmen deal yesterday and was pretty bummed.
    Was considering the Target deal, but this one is even better by $10 even after my staff discount and flybys points.

    Marion, SA store only had one left after I got one. Sounds like someone else picked one up before me too.
    They didn't have the poster up yet, but they had it on a screen in the background about to print them out I think, told them I was after that deal.
    They were confused because the current deal is $499 with GT Sport or something and why would anybody get the more expensive deal haha.

    Great price to try my VR legs before the Pimax comes out next year.
    If I have a horrible experience with VR, no biggie, probably put it up on Gumtree and get most of my money back.

    To those saying Skyrim VR has bad Move controls: Just play it with a Dualshock. It has 3 modes, motion with locomotion, motion with teleporting, and headtracking with traditional dualshock controls. It'll still be immersing with head tracking even without all the motion control shenanigans.

    You'd think they'd learn from M$. XBox Kinnect was a great idea implemented and supported poorly. Now it's tarnished and probably won't be back for ages.
    VR in a console needs to be done right, otherwise it'll suffer the same fate.

    Too much greed from the console makers to rush a feature nowhere near ready to be sold yet.

    Consoles don't have the power to run VR properly yet. It takes a hefty bit of PC gear to do it now, so why would they even bother trying?
    Short term $$$ in their eyes instead of investing into it properly.

    A damn shame :(.

    Yes or no, can I use VR on every game and use just a normal controller, or is it only for games with an update? Like, can I use PSVR as just a normal screen, and plug the HDMI into it or something, or what?

          I might have read your question wrongly, I thought you meant movies and games will automatically become VR. As ado-ve said there is cinema mode where you can see a flat projected version of your PS4 screen, however the quality isn't the best. In fact it also works with your PC or Xbox One in the same way.

    The code works online down to $322.10 + 9.99 delivery. So i go into Big W here in Canberra (Tuggeranong) after having to show them the deal on their website they rack it up for me only to find The coupon only takes $9 off. I say 'ahh 10% of $359 is not $9'

    After them trying to tell me its because its a console.. Umm no its not its an accessory to a console. And telling them it takes the 10% off the bundle on their online store they still couldnt get it to work.

    Was there for 30mins with different people, managers etc before i said forget it. Had a 2yo and a 4yo who was very restless waiting and was frustrating that it works online but different instore. get your $hit together BIG W!!

      Yup, was a waste of time and considering they should know what a game console is its a stupid argument. The PS4 is clearly the console with the VR being an accessory. Should ask them where they load the games on the VR then :)

      Lol, I just remembered I was just as impatient with my Xbox One S order from Big W back in March. I had enquired about the shipping time and got this response:

      "Thank you for your enquiry.
      Our normal warehouse processing time is 3 working days.
      You will receive an updated email confirmation with an Australia Post tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched."

      So I guess it should ship today or tomorrow.
