Gaming Consoles? Not the games right?

    • +1

Unfortunately that is all the information I have. I found the pamphlet online and saw it wasn't yet posted. Best to check inclusions/exclusions online first using the code (once the deal is active), before proceeding in-store. I'd say that Games are likely included; as the deal excludes consoles specifically. Hope this deal helps someone who may have been eyeing something off!

    • If it is like the past ones then games are included as discountable.

    • Damn, that means I should wait till tomorrow before buying Pokemon USUM.

    • I could use the discount code on games online so I assume it will work in store

still deciding between the Switch and a PS4… :(

      • +5

        Why not both?

        • because i only want to buy one.

        • +2

@jv: poor form…here at ozbargain, we only consider how much we save, not needs or wants…why else would I have so many piston headphones or analoops batteries?

        • @jv: PS4 if you want to play with mates. Switch if you want to play by yourself and on your commutes/travels.

        • @ialam99: > …why else would I have so many piston headphones or analoops batteries?

is this a range of batteries that was just released? ;)

      • +1

If you need it portable or only for the Nintendo exclusives, then go the Switch.
The PS4 (Pro) is way more powerful and arguable better gaming experience overall.

      • If you have any commute longer than 15mins or like taking long poos, get a switch. You won't regret it.

    • Delivery only :( same with Mario Kart

Potentially stackable with the Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon deal to get them for $42.30…?

I wonder if the SNES Mini is a game console or not?

    • Game console, otherwise what else would it be?

  • Telstra prepaid vouchers anyone?

I did it last year by scanning the barcode with no issues.

    • Actually, now that you mentioned it, last year it worked for me in May but not when the offer was at available again in November. Apparently they classed the prepaid vouchers as gift cards. Not sure if they’ve done that again.

      • Yeah I remember it was in April or May last year.

Hopefully someone will try and report back.

  • Can it be used on sale items?

    • -4

It doesn't, I just tried it with the BF1 Revolution which is 20$ off atm. Doesn't work

      • +11

Deal starts in 4 days. Try again then.

  • I remember a sale like this a few years ago when I bought Mario Kart on the Wii U.

Curiously in the exclusions this time around: "DVD Kiosk purchases".
Are video games (which technically can only be bought at the DVD/soundbar kiosk) now excluded?

  • Code is now live on website.

    • Is the 20% off online too? Or only instore?

      • The 10% code, "FF10" can be used online as well as instore.

        Not sure about 20%…

        • Full priced toys are 20% off

  • Most Lego is 20% off this weekend. Lego Friends Roller Coaster comes down to $92.16, use WISH card for further discount https://www.bigw.com.au/product/lego-friends-roller-coaster-…

  • Thanks OP. Was planning to buy gifts at BIGW today and saved me a bit extra. Ozbargain always makes me feel good for checking their website :)

Stack with the instore Toys offer for even more off

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/342485

    • Full cred to that post.

  • It says ‘FRIENDS AND FAMILY’ so wont there be any problem at the checkout in store???

    • +1

Just take a copy of the flyer - I just printed mine off this site - when I got to the checkout it didn’t work but the assistant had her own copy that she used - no questions asked!

      • Hopefully i come across a nice person at the service desk, sometimes they are not helpful at all. Thanks anyway

    • +1

I'm a friend of a distant family member

      • Only 6 degrees of separation :)

  • Thanks Oipjo! I was planning to go to Big W today :-)

  • https://www.bigw.com.au/product/jvc-55-4k-uhd-led-tv/p/65978… - $403.20 if local stock otherwise delivery bumps the price up. Not a fantastic tv by any means but cheap for a 55" 4k TV.

    • The one review says:

"I bought this tv 2 hours ago, and have already returned it! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE picture quality and horrible sound quality. Not even good enough for a spare TV. DO NOT BUY THIS TV"

      • I wouldn't base your intent to purchase off 1 review. It obviously isn't going to blow your mind but if you are a regular Joe who just wants a decent size tv and aren't too fussed on OLED quality picture, you can't go wrong at this price.

  • Has BigW stopped offering Click n Collect?

    • Don't think so

  • Nice saving in toys. There are like a thousand people at the toy section

    • 20% + 10%ff + 5%egift = up to 35% off and it’s not even Christmas! I can see why it’s crowded.

      • Exactly what I did.

Lots of people there I overheard them having the 10% FF discount code too. Must be one of our fellow ozbargainers

Only problem is the picture barcode is UNscanable. Bad image quality. Staff have to manually key in the numbers.

So if you go buy, use staff checkout

        • +1

The staff had copies on hand when I visited.

  • Cheers, worked instore at Noosa no problem. Just had to get the lady to enter the numbers on the barcode maually as would not scan from my phone.

  • +1

Just picked up 43" UHD Viano TV for $269 after the discount - thanks OP!

  • Thanks Oipjo.
We did all our Christmas shopping at Big W today.

    • No worries, glad you found items you liked and scored some discounts!

  • so if you order online, there is no way to avoid the $9.90 delivery fee….no click and collect
