    • Selecting AU warehouse? CN warehouse is more money

      • Hmmm… I don't get the option. Only CN direct…

Only showed au warehouse on mobile when set to Desktop view. Reduced price to AU$10.85.

        • @Infidel: hmmm… Doesn't change for me… I'm guessing I'll need to try an actually desktop if I can be bothered.

          @MrDixit:
Need to click on warehouse menu to select au warehouse. Was using Android phone on Chrome.

        • @Infidel: thanks for that. Exceptionally painful to save a couple of bucks… Had to go incognito and avoid the PayPal app to stop it handing the transaction back to the mobile site (which blocks the au warehouse for some reason)

        • @MrDixit:
Luckily I didn't have that issue. Was pretty painless.

Spotlight everyday has glue guns for this price (with extra sticks) so thats local warranty. Plus you don't need an adaptor and don't need to wait for delivery.

    • +9

      Not a valid neg.
Not same product or features - designed for different purposes!

      This: 140-220°C adjustable temperature 150W.
Spotlight: non-variable, low temperature, around 10W!

Some local non-variable, low temperature, low wattage options:
      Spotlight $8-24).
      Kmart 10W Glue Gun $8
      Daiso $5.80

    • got a price or just a neg

    • This one is medium - high tempt

      • Yes. (I'm new to hot glue guns.)

Low-temperature glue guns operate at approximately 120 °C and are well suited when high temperatures are undesirable, such as gluing lace and cloth. (eg Spotlight, Kmart, Daiso, etc)

High-temperature guns operate at approximately 190–210 °C and produce a stronger bond. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot-melt_adhesive

So a variable temp unit like this one makes sense for different uses.

Pretty fast delivery from Aussie warehouse!
      Ordered😉

Spotlight wanted $8.99 for Standard delivery!!
Makes this a much better deal.

      • Delivered 5 days after order.

    • Having just received this unit, you were deluded thinking this is anything like the basic low temperature hot glue guns from Spotlight. Those are designed only for simple craft use. Would have been a waste of money for me.

Delivered 5 days after ordered, from Australian warehouse. Should be covered by Australian warranty. I procrastinated longer than that to pop down to Spotlight to pick one up. That was fortunate - very happy with this sturdy looking unit.

Only minor thing you got right - needs adapter, which I have plenty of. That was shown in deal link.

  • Any good for children? Tired of throwing away dried up glue sticks due to the kids not putting the lids back on.

    • +5

These things will glue anything down including children :)

    • +3

Glue stick mess is easy to clean up.
Glue guns mean supervision using HOT glue & mains power…

    • +1

definitely not good for kids, hot glue can give 3rd degree burns..and the guns themselves are quite hot at the extruder

I got mine for $5.60 from Daiso. It doesn’t have variable heat setting but still does the trick!

    • +1

Used the Daiso ones at a community art venue in Osaka, Japan. We were decorating a new guest house. That meant hours of gluing fabric. The guns I used were slow to melt the glue. But who knows how old they were & we gave them a hard time.

These low temperature glue guns seem more suited to crafts - not my intended used.

  • This is EU plug.

  • I only can get AU15.13. How can I get AU10.81. Thanks

If buying from AU warehouse will it have an Australian wall plug?
Only thing stopping me from buying, don’t like using adapters or changing the end plug.

    • Good question! Would make deal much better.
Lucky I have plenty of good adapters & mains plugs.

Was searching glue guns & still had tab open on browser. Certainly seems better & more flexible for different uses than usual non-variable low wattage units available for a few $ less.

Bought - so will know in a week or so.

    • 🔌EU plug🔌

  • Thanks OP👍
Was looking online for glue guns last week, but hadn't got to stores. Glad I waited as this is better & delivered fairly fast for just a few dollars more than the cheapies.

  • I bought the cordless Ryobi One+ one for $69 at Bunnings. It is convenient and does the trick

  • thanks
Our crappy cheapo hot glue gun is broken, so this looks like a decent replacement for $10

  • Thanks mate i have been waiting to buy a better glue for a while.

Cheapest price on Ebay i could find was about $19 i already have a cheap Kmart 10 watt glue gun but its not hot enough.

Plus these take the bigger glue sticks.

How do I get the price $10.81 ?
I get AU $17.63 DC to AU $14.10

    • same for me

Arrived in Brisbane. Postie required signature. Ordered late on 18/11.

Haven't tried yet. Looks so much more robust than the cheap craft ones from Spotlight etc.
