  How often do deals like this come along for Optus? My current number is under contract until January 2018. The contract could be broken for $116 ($38 break and $78 handset payment), to go on this deal before it ends at the end of the month. Or I could wait until January, and hope for another similar deal. I want to use Optus, since its coverage is better than Telstra at my house. Should i break the contract or wait? Help!

    Wait has been offered several times already, just do a search on past Optus deals on here. It will be offered again and might be an even better deal.

  Hello, just giving my 2 cents. Spoke to an Optus consultant via chat yesterday, was advised to change my postpaid (paid cancellation fee - which was tiny in my case) to prepaid, and then back onto postpaid with the SIMsational savings promotion. Just finalised my order now, I was able to get $30/mth - 17gig data allowance. Kept my current number.

  It took about half a day to go from postpaid to prepaid, they do however advise that it may take ~ 24hrs.

  Signed up the wife who was with Optus but recently went to Aldi for a trial run. She had to call them for some ID bullshit and they would not give her the 25% as they claimed it was for “new customers”. Isn’t that what a port in is :/

    The link says it expired 30 Nov 2017, I tried getting it yesterday and they told me it's $40 per month, not $30. Any tips on how I can get this?

      Webpage still live but the offer appears to be dead, expires 30 Nov. If you click through to purchase it's full price of $40 per month with no discount applied and a new CIS for December. I've gone ahead and reported as expired.
