Qantas 30% off on QFF Redemptions - Domestic Economy Only, Includes Jetstar

650

30% discount on Qantas frequent flyer points needed for redemptions on domestic economy flights.

Came into it by coincidence as I was looking to redeem some points.

It is better than last one when it was only 25%

Might be for Black Friday only. I'll update with more info when it becomes available.

The 30% also applies for Jetstar flights (which are usually 20% off already, so it ends up being around 44% off standard qantas points required).

Discount is available for flights starting 16 January onwards.

Happy redeeming!!!

From the promotion website (thanks tux182!!!)

  • Do you know when the "sale" would expire\end?

  • How do I tell if they are discounted? How much is Sydney to Perth usually Economy/Business?

    • +1

Just check for points needed on any date before the 16/01. That would be the full amount. Then just search any date after the 16/01 then it should show 30% off.

If you go through with the booking to the part where it shows you the total points & cash cost, it does list how many points you are saving compared to standard amount.

Didn't seem to come up for me, but anyway I did Nacho's method. 18,000 points goes down to just over 12,000 + $40 tax. Great deal.

edit: just saw it! promotion discount. Thanks lads.

You're doing it wrong. Look at classic reward fares. Not pay with points.

    • Thanks tux!!! Updated!

    • I think its only applied to certain routes. I tried Sydney - Darwin, there is no Economy Reward seats

  • May I ask ? Normally how many Qantas points equal to 100$ ?

    • +1

google says $100 MYER gift card is 15000 pts. OR 66cents per point.

  • +1

only if Virgin Australia matched this :(

    • My last Virgin redemption had about 30% less taxes payable and 10% pts and a lot more availability. I guess with the 15% bonus pts earning it balances out. The $200 in taxes syd to Nz sounds a bit steep. Not sure what virgin/ Singapores are.
