Microsoft Office 365 Home - 5 Users 12 Month Subscription - $78.80 Posted from Bing Lee eBay

830
POWERON

Good deal on Office 365 Home 5 User subscription via Bing Lee eBay. Needed to top up my subscription and have been monitoring pricing of late with this being the cheapest I've seen for a while.

$96 - 20% = $76.80 + $2 postage to 2282 NSW = $78.80

Cheaper than Saveonit which is currently at $85 (https://www.saveonit.com.au/product/key-only-email-microsoft…).
Worth noting Saveonit is for key via email, Bing Lee is Office 365 Home subscription card which will be mailed to your chosen address.

Also worth noting:
- you can install this on 5 PCs/Mac computers and also 5 tablet/phone devices
- Each of the 5 users gets a 1TB Onedrive account
- As per cryptowiz comment, can be stacked to extend subscriptions e.g. buy 2 to get 24 months

Update 1:17pm 23/11/2017: Bing Lee emailed me a scanned copy of the activated card so no need to wait for postage.

  • Do I need to login to the registered account of the software to use it?

I know I need to login to install it.

    • My subscription is associated to my Microsoft Account (hotmail email address). In the subscription settings you can invite users to use the 5 licences (i.e. send them an email with a link to install Office 365). They don't need to be signed into the primary Microsoft Account to use one of the licenses.

  • That is cheap. Nice find!

It's a pity there is no cashback from Microsoft at this time but otherwise this is a good price.

You might like to add that these can be stacked (buy three and you can activate them all and have Office 365 going for three years).

    • they never paid my original cashback 2 years ago. Reckon it's possible to chase them on it ? Not a chance.

  • Still got half a year on my subscription.. but stacking it up until the next sale or something. lol

IMHO better to sign up for one of the free UTAS courses: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/341626

you get a free .edu email which gives you free Office 365.

    • Good call.
      Thanks dude!

    • ….wouldn't you then have to complete the course?

    • Hey hogwarts, I've got an edu email. How do you manage to get Office 365 for free?

      • +1

You go to office.com and click login and login as your UTAS email and password. Once you get in, you click Download.

    • any other perks as a student there? eg. free software etc?

      • +1

You get an .edu.au which gets you a Github Education Pack and ect. You can search stuff up

        • Yup, but how about uni specific software? such as stuff through MS Dreamspark

    • Unfortunately, not all edu accounts are created equal :)
I have an alumni edu account from an Aust. Uni and Microsoft Office isn't available. I tried it several months ago. Used to be available and they're restricted it.

    • Doesn’t work, cause you have to completed Level 1 first.

  • Nice deal. Just out of curiousity - is Office still the golden standard in the corporate world, or is Google Docs catching up? How does Google Sheets fare as an alternative to Excel?

    • +2

      yes, office is still king

    • +5

Almost never see Google docs in corporate world, not the ones I work with anyway.

    • Being stingy I tried to use Google Sheets as my main spreadsheet option (especially as I needed to allow others to edit) but it really doesn't come anywhere close to Excel.

It's worth noting Excel Online is also totally free to use so if you don't want to pay that's a better option.

    • Never seen any corporate use anything except Microsoft Office.

If you know a Griffith student (and probably others) they get two different compatible emails [email protected] and [email protected]
    Maybe they will share? ;)

Thought all the University here should end with .COM rather than .edu look at those school fees.

Wish they did a 1 user, 5 years instead.

    Let's have a look…

Microsoft Account. Login. Services & Subscriptions. Waiting.

AU$129.00 every year, next charge on 6/24/2020 with PayPal

I think I'm good, but thanks anyway :)

    • how'd you do that ?

  • For users that aren't looking to buy now, SaveOnIT have them for around $80 all the time from memory. I've bought twice form them now.

Looks like price has gone up slightly though since i last purchased.

  • Ordered 2. Thanks.

Subscription ? Forgive my ignorant, but dont they have "normal MS office any more ? Btw Im using MS Office 2010 still

    • +3

      Yes its called Office 2016

Before anyone buys this… Check if you're eligible to buy the latest Office 2016 for only $16.50 under Microsoft Home Use Program. This is the non cloud based version and there's no ongoing subscription fees.

To be eligible you must be employed, and your company has an enterprise contract with Microsoft (which is very common btw)

    • It works… thank you heaps! Just saved me quite some amount of money.

      • Don't have a program code :(

      • You're welcome

    • Also if your work uses office 365 you might be entitled to free downloads of office as well. (They will stop working when you quit your job though)

goto outlook.office365.com login and search for software and it should tell you.

  • Just added a comment to OP - Bing Lee just emailed me my activation code so no need to wait for postage. Note I didn't request this

    • Nice one :) I wonder how/why they did that though?

I'd be happy if they emailed my two through :)

I find that the free online word, excel etc is more than enough for basic tasks these days.
Years ago When I was pivot table king it would be no good.
I think most people just need to try the online versions first.

  • Huh. Code isn't working for me.

    • Think there's a glitch, tried it with another item and got the same result.

    • Never mind, my stupid account is still registered with a UK account.

  • worked for me. Way better option than the $129 autorenew that was going to happen in 3 weeks time (now cancelled).

$75.99 here, and postage is free..
Add P5OZZIE to bring it down to $72.19
