This deal? No. Unwarranted comments? Yes. 😂

  • Whats the difference on the $65 and $59 Hyperx Cloud II or is that just a misprint.

    • +1

Think it might be a misprint, I'll ask them to clarify.

      • +8

        Fixed! $59 only :)

  • +11

I can vouch for the headphones as great value at that price.

  • +12

Seriously get these headphones. They are amazing and by far the best value gaming headset around.

  • While the headphones be good for a Nintendo Switch? What the reviews on the keyboard?

    • Not sure about the switch, but they are a beast on PC.

      As for the keyboard: https://www.kotaku.com.au/2017/08/hyperx-alloy-elite-keyboar…

I personally have the non-elite version and it's been awesome. I can imagine the Elite only being better with the palm wrest, dedicated media buttons and volume wheel.

    • They work fine on switch as headphones. I use them all the time.

Serious bargain at that price. Even at their RRP I'd recommend them. A great headset

    • Note: They revised the KB to non-elite version as there was a mixup.

  • +2

Cloud II is $69 tomorrow from PCCG Mwave and scorptec for those who dislike or cant get to a MSY.

    • +22

$59 at MSY for those who would like to save a further $10

      • Currently WA shows no stock online or in the branches, do that mean we miss out or it'll be delivery only? Only ever done pickup from MSY so not sure if you can order off other states online stores.

    • +1

And only slightly more at jbhifi ($83.30):

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/gaming-he…

      • +12

$24.30 more than $59 isn't 'slightly' in my books…. 41% more than MSY price.

    • +1

Don't see any sale at scorptec

      • Sorry i thought i read scorptec my mistake.

    • Showing as $65 at PCCG for me, but $19 shipping to Adelaide takes the shine off the deal (cheaper at JB)

      • Yeah that's why I shop more at mwave they are normally about $10 for delivery

  • +1

Wtf ..this is dirt cheap…highly recommend this one guys

  • +4

    These headphones are GREAT.

Have been using them for a year on my PS4.

    A steal at this price.

    • Not really much of a gamer, but how are these (sound quality) for listening to music?

      • +3

as long as you don't turn on the 7.1 surround sound its greatttt!!!!!! can leave it in your pc then if u want to listen to something on ur ph u just pull it out of the usb jack and its a 3.5mm JACK!! comfy as and tbh great sounding too

      • dont recommend them at all. better off getting a pair of phillips shp9500/s and a v moda inline boom mic for if you want good headphones with the ease of adding a mic. $150 delivered on amazon. shp 9500/s are about $100 on their own. also any superlux headphones or the status ob-1/cb-1 all much better headphones than the hyper x cloud but must purchase a seperate mic.

sennheiser game one/zero, pc373 are all better quality HEADSETs but much more expensive. typically headsets are shit quality and your overpaying for the gaming label.

      • +1

These are rebranded Takstar Pro 80 headphones which HyperX are licencing from them. If you read reviews from them they are stellar for the price.

  • Do these come with extra ear cuffs? Or is it just the 1 pair.

    • +2

Yes, comes with an extra pair in a different, velvet-like material.

      http://www.audiocasque.fr/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Kingsto…

      • Thank you. Currently using Cloud Cores and picking this up would be pretty good since these ear cuffs and pretty worn.

        • +1

If your only issue is the ear pads, go to BrainWavz website and order their HM5 pads in pleather or valour. Fits these headphones perfectly and are 10x more comfortable than stock pads.

  • +4

Damn that's a good buy. Paid almost double that, just a few months ago, with a sense that I got a good deal at the time. Wish I hadn't seen this post now ;-)

  • Woa that Razer Kraken is cheap. Is it any good though? (already have Sennheiser PXC 550)

    • +5

      It's Razer so no.

      Get Hyper x.

    • Don't touch Razer unless you don't care if something breaks in less then 12 months.

  • +17

You know what time it is? It's table time.

    Table added.

    • Legend! Thank you scrimshaw :)

  • Looking forward to this

  • There are a number of youtubers who are recommending the Cloud Alpha over the Cloud II. Is it worth paying more for the Cloud Alpha?

    • Cloud Alpha is the revision of Cloud II so it would be a better headset :) As for if it's worth it? I'm super content with Cloud IIs so don't see a reason to upgrade :)

    • Are they getting paid for that?

  • +1

Sweet, mother bought 2 for my nephews at $110 a pop will return and buy these tomorrow!

    • buy first and then return in case of limited stock. also says 1 per customer.

  • I think the Alpha is heavier but the sound is supposedly better. I paid $100 for the Cloud II a week ago :/ good headset though.

  • $70 for a Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX? Count me in!

    • +1

Note: They revised the KB to non-elite version as there was a mixup.

  • what time?

    • +1

whenever your local branch is open. Use google maps.

      • I meant online

        • +3

going by past deals its usually afternoon / lunchtime that the prices become live, although that's just my prediction

        • @scrimshaw: thank you

  • +3

Thoughts on the dxracer? Is there a better chair for the same price or less?

    • Would also like to know

    • I've been using a K series for 2 years now. Daily use, nice and comfy.

    • I have an F series I bought nearly two years ago. The padding is still going strong and I use it for several hours a day. It's a lot better than the Officeworks Bathurst racer chairs which wore out after about a year of heavy use. I find most of the "gaming" chair brands to be quite similar so try look for other cheaper brands like Battlebull. There are a lot of different brands, Mwave have a few on their site so take a gander there. :)

    • Love my f series. Had it for a few years now. Still going strong

  • Can understand 🔥 but what's ❄️??

    • i assume the opposite of a hot price. poor value?

    • Hot cold rating, cold meaning you probably shouldnt buy

    • +6

It means the GPU will be running very cool

    • You will become the cool kid and envy of all upon purchase.

  • Thats a really good price for the cloud 2. But last time i bought headsets from MSY both of them were broken :( Third time lucky?

  • +1

Must be a record low for a dual-slot, dual-fan GTX 1050. 20% off eBay sales got down to ~$150.

  • What's people opinion on the razor mouse, any good for it's price?

    • It's razor, so no

      • +1

Suppose it's back to Logitech then

  • Will the hyper x cloud headset work on the Xbox one S

  • MSY soo far away…what the chances of Officeworks or JB Hi-fi price matching?

    • very high ..gonna go after work.

      • Lol, not in Vic mate… Especially JB. My success rate over the years is zero… They don't match "wholesalers"

    • It's not clearance/limited stock so no reason to not pricematch (work at OW).

      • I cant see these on the office works website.. Do they stock it?

        • Didn't realise you were talking about the headset in particular. They'll pricematch the hard drives etc. whatever they sell.

        • Should have mention that I was after the Logitech K400 keyboard which I do know that OW/JB stocks. Don't think that stock the headsets.

    • Asked at JB today and showed hem this post, guy said unlikely as the margin is too different. JB chaddy

      • Sent the wife into another jb and they price matched hyperx cloud headset, chroma v2 keyboard and razor mouse pad.

Its amazing what a little boob can do!!!

    • just walked outta jb, they wouldnt pricematch any headset, keyboard or mouse

      • Thanks, going to try Officeworks then.

  • Guaranteed to sell out.

  • Pity the Kingston HyperX Alloy FPS Elite Mech. Keyboard doesn't have macro keys…

    • Note: They revised the KB to non-elite version as there was a mixup.

      • Still no macro keys…

        • Yep, just in case you were interested in buying one as the non-elite doesn't have the media buttons/volume wheel which can be important to some people :)

  • Will this price include the red Hyper X Cloud II headset?

    • not according to Fyshwick ACT store

      • Might be worth going with the deals at PCCG Mwave and Scorptec like the comment above says. Might be $10 more, but still a good price.

  • +1

I believe there may be an error on the ad for the Kingston HyperX Mech. keyboard. The first page has it as the Elite version and the bottom shows the non-Elite version. Both discounted from $129 which is the price of the non-Elite version on their website (with the Elite being $149)

    • Good spot. Reply to a comment from the rep to get them to clarify :)

    • +1

Yep, they've changed it to the non-elite version. Still a great price for a Cherry mech KB.
