    Don't forget cashrewards!

    • +2

      Bugger

  • +2

Does it come with the "circular polarize lens filter" or if not, is there an option to add it to the cart?

  • +3

Can only get USD $ 64.99 even after selecting the link and getting the reward.

    • +1

have you go to check out page and use the 3$ Off 59$ rewards?

      • +1

You are correct, I only viewed the cart. Have to go to checkout. Thank you.

        • +1

          :) you are welcome

      • +2

I have the same problem, it's shown as $64.99, and I don't have a "use the 3$ Off 59$ rewards" option. I have not bought anything from lightinthebox before, and I have been to that promo key page (if I go there again, it says "Claim Rewards Now! Sorry! You have already got these Rewards. Please come back tomorrow.").

I think the problem might be that I had AUD as the currency when I clicked the promo key page, but to get the best price you have to use USD, but if you switch to that then you cannot use your promos any more, because they only apply in AUD! I might try making another account, and switching to USD as the very first thing, and then claim this promo keys, then try buying…

        • +1

…. you can use US currency and go to check out page to see if you can use it. the rewards can use on all currency. but hard to say. you might find a bug. any way, looking forward to see your test result :)

        • +3

@MiniInTheBox: I made a second account with USD as the currency, did the promo key, added dashcam to the cart, and the promo still doesn't work - it's showing as USD $64.99, with no promo codes applicable. But if I go to my promo codes page, it says "AUD $4.17 Promotional Rewards On order over AUD $81.92". I don't know why it keeps trying to force me onto AUD. So there's definitely something buggy here. Despite my best attempt, I cannot see any way to buy it for USD $61.99

It would be so much easier if the price was just USD 61.99, and there was no promo key.

        • +2

@MiniInTheBox: I have the same problem. I can only get the rewards to work in AUD, so it comes down to AUD 86.07 only.

        • +1

@nickj: i will report this to IT guys, but not sure they will fix this any faster.

        • @MiniInTheBox: I had the same problem as above. After discount the price comes down to AUD $86.07. I will wait if it is fixed before the deal is expired, else I will buy next time.

        • @akd:

When you create the account, make sure it's in USD. as weird as that sounds, it worked for me

        • @18: Yes, I realised it later but it cannot be undone now.

        • @akd:

          Make another account

        • @18: Thanks. Ordered with different account.

        • @MiniInTheBox: Hi Rep. I set my currency to USD but when I clicked the link above to get to the reward page it says

          "You didn't win these Rewards.
          Please come back tomorrow."

          ??

Order 1 about 2 weeks ago and now already $10 cheaper.

  • +1

How easy is this to install with wires hidden?

    • +2

Pretty easy. Just tuck it along the windscreen and through the glove box.

      • +2

        Inside the plastic trims?

        • +1

          Yes

        • +2

          @gentlecrack:
It is easy, I work on weekend and spent around 2hour on that. there are heaps of tutorial on youtube, also you need a multimeter to identify the correct spot.

    • Depends on your car. I needed to use Aldi double-face tape along the A-Pillar as there was nowhere to tuck the cable into.

  • +2

Does this dashcam have a function where it will record when the car is off. I need one that can record hit and runs when parked.

    • +1

Yes, but it needs constant power while the car is turned off (e.g. by hardwiring)

      • +1

It drained my battery twice in two weeks with recording while car was off.

        • +1

It drained my battery twice in two weeks with recording while car was off.

you probably set the dash cam in record mode rather than in park mode, or perhaps your battery needs to be checked or replaced.

    • +5

you can also use a >3m usb cable connected to a power bank.

    • You'd need to buy the version that comes with a Li-ion battery for that. Capacitor versions have just residual enough power to end the recording and shut down.

  • +1

Came out to AU$86.07. Is that right?

    • +1

choose US currency to get lowest price, our AU exchange rate too high.

      • +1

Can I cancel my order and reorder?

        • +2

pm me your order number, but if you have used the black friday rewards, when i canceled order, the rewards won't back

    • +1

$81.90 for me (bought in USD $61.90). Did you apply the $3 USD discount?

    • +1

Nope. I’m getting the same thing. All this jumping through hoops for the advertised price is a joke.

  • +1

my cable died after a year of this unit, should i buy a whole new unit or the cable can be purchased alone?

    • +2

Is it the cable that died? Or the connection between the gps unit and camera unit? I found that by pluggimg directly into the camera, it solved my power / restarting issues, and it somehow still gets the gps info from the gps unit!

      • The micro USB end fell off the main cable,

        • ah man that sucks

  • +2

    $84.93 AUD using PayPal conversion

  • +1

Dont need the GPS. Is the non GPS version equally good?

    • +1

What’s the GPS for? Prove speed?

      • +1

        Coordinates and time stamps.

        • and speed. but the cops generally don't accept gps as a good argument against a ticket. the time stamp is the most useful feature, as the GPS gets the exact time from the satellites every time it connects, so there's not need to worry about the clock resetting itself between trips.

    Thanks Poster

What's the shipping times like from this company?, will be a xmas present.

    • +1

free shipping normally 3-5 weeks, express shipping normally 1-2 weeks. but considering recent big sale, and too lot orders. so might delayed few days. if you want make sure, then i suggest pay some extra and get express shipping. i'm always here, welcome to pm me if you have any order problem

      • +3

I might pass then because for 2 units the shipping is $55.47 USD

        • +1

          Ah, same here…

If it was like a decent 2-3 weeks with free shipping, no problem.
It's usually around the 5 week mark where I forgot I ordered something, and wound up ordering the same thing from another deal on OzBargain lol

        • USD $23.96 for me purchasing 2 units.

Edit: Fingers crossed it arrives in time for Christmas!

  • +1

Trying to order 2 and my cart says $129.98USD but when clicking to checkout through PayPal, the total jumps to $238.58USD??

Is there only a limit of 1 per order?

    • +1

i just checked, US124.98 for me. you might have other item on the cart? or give me a screenshot, i might figure out what's wrong

      • +1

Just checked again and going straight to PayPal checkout was adding the express shipping, that is what was adding on the extra….but now it's showing as $64.99 and not the $61.99 even after I claimed the reward?

        • +1

you need go to check out page, and use the rewards

        • +1

@MiniInTheBox: I'm in the standard checkout page now (not the PayPal checkout) and after unticking the express shipping and insurance, there's no option anywhere that I can see to use the rewards?

        • +1

@Slave1: do you have any pending order?

        • +1

@MiniInTheBox: I've never ordered from you before but just looking now and it shows two pending orders awaiting payment? I just deleted one of them.

  • +1

wow thats cheap, i bought mine for about 100aud

  • +2

So I tried making a 3rd account, again checking the USD currency, and but then applying the coupons using a link on the site rather than copy/paste, and then checkout, then go "apply coupon code", and this time it shows a list of USD coupons. But when I select "USD $3 off" one, it gives this error in red:

"Sorry, your effective order subtotal needs to be at least USD $ 59.00 in order to use this coupon. The following product(s) are not part of the effective order total because you can't use any coupon for them:
    -Viofo A119S V2 GPS 2.0 HD…"

So has this expired, or is it just me?

    • i just checked again, the rewards still work for me, so not sure what;s wrong. or system have some wrong?

      • Hi Rep, the reward seems expired, could you please get me another one? Thanks heap!

        • -1

morning mate, black friday rewards only available on 11/24 US time, it's finished now so i can't bring this back, but i'm sure US$64.99 still best price for now if you still want it.

    • +1

had the same issue, so created a new account. set it to be $USD, then claimed the rewards (via link) under new account. Rewards now show as USD rewards not AUD rewards. Purchased $61.99. Look like when you claim the reward it gets locked to the currency you currently have set and won't work/appear if you change your currency later on.

      hope that helps :)

  • -2

Hmm, a non-AU seller. If it packs up a year later, the ACL cannot help to secure a refund or replacement.

  • Want to say this is great dash cam for the money. Highly recommended.
I have a few of the VIVFO A118C that is an excellent budget camera but getting one of these blows it away. The quality is so clear during the day and great at night. Looking at the video on a large TV at 60fps is amazing for a sub $100 camera. If you want to better this you will have to pay for dash cams in the +$300 range

  • A got a clone of this (A118C/B40) didn't find out before I bought it that a lot of them have issues with being out of focus. Mine is still usable but is a little out of focus. More SD than HD. Feel a bit gypped but I may be able to just slot a Viofo (assuming the mount is identical) into the place of the A118C.

But then is it worth it just on the chance I can see beautiful women I drive past in my travels in a bit better detail (keeping in mind the VERY wide-angle lens) when for insurance purposes the one I have would do?

  • :Sorry, your effective order subtotal needs to be at least USD $ 59.00 in order to use this coupon. The following product(s) are not part of the effective order total because you can't use any coupon for them:
    -Viofo A119S V2 GPS 2.0 HD…:

    Got this message……

  • Hi Rep,

i tried to order, but it adds 1.99 dollars for shipping charges?

    Could you please assist?

    Cheers,
    Justin

    • You might have shipping insurance on

    • do you use the AU address? free shipping only available few country, and also please uncheck shipping insurance. if all not work, give me a screenshot, i will figure out what's wrong

  • +2

I can only get it to AUD 90.24
Can't change to USD as it's the setting in my account and it doesn't allow to change. Then I deleted the item from cart and retried. Now, when I click "claim rewards" link it says "Sorry you have already got this rewards. come back tomorrow"
Doesn't work for me. Giving up.

    • @MiniInTheBox: Tried to buy it again now. The checkout screen says "we have applied all the possible discounts" However the price is $88.85
Even when I clicked the link you provided it says, "Sorry! You have already got these Rewards. Please come back tomorrow."
However I couldn't buy it even last time as it didn't reduce the price. That was 2 days back. I got this same message at that time too. However I still couldn't buy a single unit. Is there any point trying tomorrow?

  • cheers

  • Discount isn’t working for me after several attempts.

Is the ~$85aud price still good enough to bite for one of these now or should I wait? Only $4 but this is Ozbargain still…

  • Got it working by clicking through to the standard checkout page (not the paypal icon to the right), but then paying with Paypal anyway. Thanks OP

    • Can confirm it came to AUD $81.82 (using 28 degrees mastercard)

  • Thanks, OP. I was looking at buying two of these exact models this week and the cheapest I could find was $127.00 each on ebay.

  • +1

Theres an issue with my account where I have $143 credit out of no where… says I made a few $1500 purchases…

Does anyone with a Mazda CX5 have this dashcam fitted alright?

I am worried if it can fit fine without blocking the driver's vision as the CX5 doesn't have space behind the rear vision mirror.

  • Considering this company doesn't stop spamming their emails AND it doesn't allow me to plus pluses into my email address ([email protected]) I don't think I'll be buying this. Shame tbh.

    • I personally use a throwaway for most purchases. Never know who is going to sell it off at a later date.

  • Struggled a bit to get the rewards working properly but in the end all worked out and bought 2 as gifts.

  • Sorry!

    You didn't win these Rewards.
    Please come back tomorrow.

  • Expired…. just when I wanted to get it. Anybody have a deal for the exact same one for a similar price?

  • Tried buying this, discounts didnt work. Tried again today and expired…

    • -1

morning mate, black friday rewards only available on 11/24 US time, it's finished now, but i'm sure US$64.99 still best price for now if you still want it.

      • +2

its now 109.19USD no longer 64.99

  • Does it support LDWS Function support out of the box? Or is it an option?
